This is higher end Italian food in a small strip mall. My wife and I have been back several times, end enjoyed it every time. Prices are really good especially for the quality of the food. If you live in the Boulder/Broomfield area, look for the coupons in the local ad magazines, you can usually find a 2 for 1 coupon. Do yourself a favor and try it. more

I have been here multiple times and the food is always great. I would recommend anything on the menu. The specials have always been great. My personal favorites are the veal or the ribeye, along with a half carafe of the house Chianti. Excellent. more

My wife and I moved to Denver from Chicago years ago and miss the great neighborhood Italian restaurants which can be found throughout the city and suburbs. Via Toscana measures up and exceeds those...we've found our special night out place. Pros: Food. Wine list is extensive from affordable to celebrate. Cons: None. more

My favorite Italian place in the north metro area! Fair prices for good food, with good portions. The back room (by the wine ""cellar"") can be rather noisy, since the walls are (I believe) concrete, so you should make reservations on busy days, such as around prom and homecoming weekends, because all the kiddies like to come here...that way you can maybe get hold of a nice cozy booth in the main dining area, or a spot on the patio on a warm summer night. Great marinara, bruschetta, manicotti--and that's saying something, since there is only one other Italian restaurant I've been to that I'd recommend the manicotti at, and it is in California! Good wine list. Try the valpolicetta; it is versatile with Italian dishes and a good value. Service generally is friendly and good...again, better in the main room than the back room. Pros: Good romantic place with great food and fair prices, good wine list. Cons: Can be VERY crowded on weekend nights, and for holidays--need reservations. Back room can be very noisy. more

My wife and were skeptical at first from the outwards appearance, but once we entered the front door we were both astonished by everything that the restaurant offers. We have eaten there multiple times and have introduced many of our friends and family to our local neighborhood find. The wine list is excellent and the value for the high quality food is extraordinary. My desire to keep our find a secret was beat out by my wish to share this wonderful Italian dining experience with others. Buon Appetito! more

We had the special Tuesday night wine dinner - 5 courses and 5 wines. The food was fabulous - rich, fresh ingredients in subtle, auhentic dishes. The decor at Via Toscana is better than you wood expect by looking at it's suburban shopping center facade. The menu features several standards and a few creative offerings. The surprisingly extensive wine list has many affordable options and some high-end bottles. We started with the Bruscetta, which was standard, but tasty. For our entrees we tried the Shrimp Piccata with garlic, capers, etc (what you would expect), A Pasta dish that had Clams and Shrimp over linguini (sauce lacked flavor and clams were rubbery) and a Pork Medallions dish in a mushroom brandy sauce served with mashed potatoes and green beans (actually quite good). Our final bill was very reasonable. The service was pretty good. I wouldn't say this was one of the best Italian places in Metro Denver, but considering the value you'll get for your dollar it's worth a visit, especially if you live in the neighborhood.
