I went to Via Pacifica for summer school once but I had friends who went there for many years. I think the school provides a good foundation for students but I would recommend putting them in public school before they become too socially awkward and unable to adapt later. This was the experience both of my friends had. At some point, (almost) all students have to transition into non-montessori or traditional education and it is best to make this transition easier by making it happen sooner rather than later. The school and faculty definitely provide a nice background and an experience with non-public school eduation.
Pros: interesting methods
Cons: can't be away from traditional education forever...
