Dr. Gill and his staff are THE BEST! He has taken care of our pets for a little over ten years. Most recently one of our dogs was having issues eating. Found out through Dr. Gill's diligence that he actually has arthritis and was in pain though he did not cry or complain. Dr. Gill called after hours and on a Sunday to see how he was doing. During their remodeling during the holidays in December he dropped everything to see our dog even though he was not open. Can't say enough good things about Dr. Gill! more

My pets love Dr. Gill and so do we and pet owners. He does not try to gouge you with his rates like american vet. He is very fair and understanding, and his knowledge and education really surprised me.He was always on target with diagnosis. There were never long waits in the waiting room. I really liked that. American Vet we waited sometimes way over one hour in waiting room . We were first time pet owners and went to another vet that we did not like. Dr, Gill is extremely knowledgeable and an excellent diagnostician. After taking my 12 year old dog to other vets for the pain in his legs and decreased mobility all I received was pain meds. Dr. Gill was able to feel his joints with his hands and make a diagnosis. He then went on to schedule x-rays and blood work and called in a specialist in Orthopedics to confirm his diagnosis. Dr. Gill was correct. Dr. Gill will never ask that you spend money for test that will lead nowhere. His approach is conservative and to the point. It is always in the best interest of your pet(and you). He is a very caring doctor. The staff is highly professional and does a great job taking care of my dog. We left him there all afternoon and he was calm and relaxed when we picked him up. I really appreciate them.This is the best Veterinary office. I will stay with Dr. Gill and his staff for my dog's care. more

We have spent a lot of money at this vet and at first we had no problems. #1. About a 2 yrs ago my dog was literally dying! from eating apple seeds (they have syanide in them when bitten into) and he directs me to go to a vet all the way off of highland in Oakland! I understood maybe he doesn't handle emergencies so I took him to an emergency vet in Fremont 30 mins away where he passed. They said if someone flushed him out right away he may have survived. #2. Last night at 1am my 11 mnth old puppy started drastically bleeding out of his nose and we slowed it down with an ice pack, but could not stop it. We took him into the vet first thing (830am) and again were turned away. At this point my dog was bleeding so much it was literally pouring out of his nose and we're turned away??!! He said there is too much blood for him to be sedated and again told us to go to a vet all the way in San Leandro or Fremont. What kind of vet does that? Does he actually care about the dog? Or is he not ful more

Dr. Gill has been a part of our family for years and we love his caring and compassionate care. He has been with us through good times and sad times. We would not take our pets to anyone else! more

Dr. Gill and staff are wonderful people who have helped us through good times and sad times. Dr. Gill is honest, understanding and compassionate. He will always tell you the truth and not try to make you spend lots of money--even if it's not what you want to hear. He recently saved our cat from an almost impossible situation after he was hit by a car. His expert care and compassion for pets (and people) make him number one in my book! more

My husband and I moved to Union City about 2 years ago and we were initially referred by a neighbor to Dr. Gill at Vet Med Center. We have two older dogs and one has been saved at least twice since then by Dr. Gill. He is an amazingly dedicated vet to the well being of animals. We thought that our dog would have to be put to sleep twice but somehow through Dr. Gill's knowledge and experience in the treatment of animals and the dog's will to live he is still here and living happily at 91 years!!!. I have never experienced such a great vet and I have had animals all my life. more

Vetinary Medical Ceter is probably the best place that you can bring a pet. I think their service is exceptional and incredible. They are veyr careful with your pets and treat them extremly well. The only thing that I have a problem is that sometimes, their service is too slow. That might be a heads up for any extreme cases needing immediate help. more

Veterinary Medical Center is a good place to go to get your pets fixed up. If they are sick then go here because they take care of your pet like if it were their own. The pricing however is at the ok range because im not sure if it should be that much but if you love your pet then the price would not matter. You pet will get the best treatment once you bring them to Veterinary Medical Center. more
