Jack Cellars is my favorite wine shop. Jack is not pretentious at all, and he really gets to know his customers, almost all of them on a first name basis. Great selection of both wines and prices. He will always order something in if he does not carry it currently. I love his free tastings Wednesday and Saturday, and all his fancy fun parties to boot. Pros: you are like family there more

My wife and I stop by the free tastings as often as we can as Jack's Cellars is our favorite wine shop. Jack is always there and more than happy to offer a suggestion, chat about trips to wine country or even pour a glass of something to try even if an official tasting isn't taking place. There is a great selection of wines that cover all budgets. more

My husband and I truly enjoy anything and everything wine related. Ever since Jack took over this Maple Leaf wine store, it is the only place (other than the actual wineries) we ever by wine. The selection is diverse, and the prices are great. We love stopping by during the Saturday wine tastings, for the informative pours, and Jack's selection of cheese pairings. Jack himself is dynamic and he is always right on with wine recommendations. We also love the new addition of premium beers. Jack's wine club is also another fun way to discover all the fun wine finds, all at reasonable prices. I highly recommend Jack's Cellars to all wine enthusiasts. This is simply the best wine store that I have encountered in Seattle (and I've been to quite a few). The selection is, well.. select. The owner (a talented master of wine) has gone for a judicious approach to his stock, concentrating on a consistent quality across price ranges. Speaking of price, the wine in this store is probably the best value around. There are lots of $10-$20 wines that are great competitors for your $30 big store wine or your $50 restaurant wine. The varieties and vineyards are rare too, many Minervois among them. I have yet to buy a wine from this store that I didn't like.
