I went for dinner and had the most amazing food/wine/service. Host Joe was the best....he took our order and sent things to our table he thought we would like ( none of them charged!) Baby Jesus cake...OUT OF THIS WORLD and I'm not even a big dessert person. Just when I though it was over Joe sends over CHOCOLATE BREAD PUDDING! HIGHLY recommend this place. Tell Joe that Tara and Sara sent you! Pros: Location, prices, service...all amazing more

Vesta is simply awesome. The food is amazing, the wine is delicious and reasonably priced, and the people that work there make sure your experience is one of a kind. Whether you sit at the bar or at a table you will receive impeccible service. They are known to comp a glass of wine here and there too! The owner is there quite often and will greet tables and make sure everyone is having a great time. I have tried at least 5 different dishes and I have never been disappointed. This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in all of New York!!! I am lucky to live just up the street!!!!! Pros: Amazing service, Romantic Ambiance, Delicious Food Cons: No cons! more

Seriously, everything from service to wine - spectacular. We will absolutely be regulars. Our service was impeccable and the food delectable. We left no crumbs on any dish - and finishing off with baby-jesus cake... Omg!!!! I'm going back as much as I possibly can. My fiance and I have never said so many ""mmmmmm's"" over food.... Thank you Vesta. We are now your biggest fans. We're going to tell our friends that you only do lunch though, we can't bare the thought of not getting a table for dinner!! more

I have lived in Astoria, down by 21st street, for years and waiting for something good to open- a beautiful, comfortable, warm, friendly restaurant. Finally- a place that feels like it should be in Manhattan is down on this side of 30th Avenue. AMAZING. Every time I passed by there on my way home it was filled with people all enjoying glasses of wine amidst the warm candle-light and cozy atmosphere. \r \r So I brought my roommate in with me and I must say it was a truly great night. We were greeted by the host (also co-owner) who immediately asked what our favorite wines were and gave us a little tasting - asking us our favorite flavors.. He definitely knows his wine. My roommate then ordered a delicious appetizer and I had a fantastic pasta dish. The servers and bartenders were all so friendly (and good looking!) and we each enjoyed two glasses of superb wine. I might be giving this place a *tad* higher rating simply because it was so needed, however- I think it is a gem in the heart of Astoria. THANK YOU for opening your doors and for having great lighting!! Pros: Lighting, Romantic, Cozy, Comfortable, Warm, Friendly, Delicious Food, Decent wine selection Cons: None- I plan on returning to try more of their menu! more
