This is as close as you can get to a roasted pig without having to go to all the trouble and day-long ordeal of roasting it yourself and you can have it year-round. We do our own every 24th of December in keeping with tradition, but the rest of the year this is the place to go. Pros: good food, inexpensive Cons: limited parking, lines at times more

Down home Cuban Food!!!! 1/15/2003

This is the closest I've had to mom's cooking. I grew up on picadillo, ropa vieja, palomillo steak and arrooz con pollo. They have it all, and friendly staff. The chicken special is to die for and is served up muy rapido! The service and food quality is consistently excellent. Just don't surprise them with a gang from work for lunch or plan on a loooooonnnnnnggggg lunch! They don't handle crowds at one table well. DON'T ASK FOR TEQUILA SHOTS 12/25/2002

Approximately amonth ago I was convinced by some friends to go to Versailles, I was expecting true Cuban food, what I found was a rude waiter, very commercialized food (no taste at all) and a water down drink. My friend had requested a shot of tequila, when the waiter brought us the drink we noticed that the shot was too light in color, when we tasted it we found out that they had mixed it with water. HOW CHEAP CAN YOU BE. We made a promise to never go back. The one place that I will recommend is EL COLMAO in Los Angeles. Cons: no aprking, rude waiter, bad bar service more

I've been going to Versailles for several years and have never been disappointed. A ""must try"" is the Garlic Chicken - to die for. The portions are large, chances are you will have leftovers. Pros: yummy!, cheap Cons: stand in line outside more

This restaurant is normally always crowded. There is an abundant amount of garlic in their dishes, which is wonderful. Their food is good for the money. The ambience is more like a local restaurant, so don't expect artsy decor. They dining is casul and thier combination plate of chicken and pork is my favorite. It's a great place to take the family. If you're a health freak, meaning you can't stand unneccessary grease, Versailles is not the place for you. I've been to Costa Rica and love Latin food, and though the servings are big and the prices were average, I didn't enjoy overly fried plantains nor yucca. Their stewed Shredded beef was good.
