I recently contacted to inquire about a product and as I was informing the person (guy), I indicated that I heard that La-Z-Boy had a foot rest extension. He wasn't familiar, which is ok, but when I had indicated I would be contacting La-Z-Boy directly to inquiry . . . never said thank you, just hung up. Very unprofessional. I will take my business else where, just as I did for my purchase of our new bed. more

Bought a Couch in March of 2010 within 6 or 7 months the fabric had threads breaking all over, they were sticking out every where, I contacted store, they came and looked at it and said they would get back with me as soon as they talked with the manufacturer, they then contacted me about aweek or so later and asked if they could come and take pic, so they did and also took two cusions with them.. this was in February of 2011, I havnt heard a word since and they still hgave my cusions, I have tried calling and talking to them but I get excuses evey time... when i finall said i was going to enlist the help of someone (lawyer, Attourney General) the girl just smirked and THREATENED TO STOP WORKING ON MY PROBLEM ALL TOGETHER..Buy somewhere else if at all possible, you probably would get better service from Art van or value city then this Company.......... more

We special ordered a very expensive small leather sectional last December (2009) and finally had it special (expedited) delivered in the middle of April, a lot longer than the quoted 10 weeks. Then the couch was scratched and ripped and sits completely different (softer not as firm as broken in store floor sample) Now it has to be picked up for repair and we would be out of a couch again for several weeks when we can get it picked up. There is no Customer Service with the current "Retirement" sale going on as no phone calls are being returned and you can't always leave a message as the box is full. Very bad service for such a high $ ticked item. ArtVan next door probably gives better service. more

After a bad experience at another furniture store, we tried Vermeulen’s. It wasn’t a very good event either. We picked out a wardrobe closet and a dinning room set (oak). The wardrobe was delivered with a crack down the left side. We found out that this was the floor model and the last one they had. Vermeulen’s did adjust the price for the wardrobe but it was still disappointing. The dinning room table and chairs was another let down. The table is fine but I’ve had one of the chairs in their repair shop three times. This is the same chair each time. I’ve asked for the chair to be replaced but was told no. So each time I get the chair fixed, it cost $40. It needed to be repaired again but I did it myself. When it gives out again, I’ll be the one on my backside on the floor. more
