Verita

I met Decia, my now hair stylist at another salon and she told me she was going to be moving to Verita, so I made my next appointment with her at Verita after she fixed my absolutely horrendeous color and cut the first time. I knew Decia was a hair genius when she did things to my hair that noone else before had even thought of doing and my hair had never looked better!!! I went to Verita, where i was welcomed with smiles, tea and fresh pastries. Again, Decia made my hair absolutely fabulous. Not only is the salon gorgeous, but the atmosphere is sophisticated and they dont skimp on amenities. I've been going to Decia for a few years now and because I trust her now completely with my hair, we recently decided to put some pink streaks in (in honor of my friend battling cancer). I have gotten so many positive comments on how awesome my hair looks that I'm starting to think I'm kind of popular. haha. Another note, Decia is very accomodating with scheduling and has gone beyond and above what any other hair dresser has done for me. Thanks Decia! more

I was at the store and saw someone with the cutest hair. She said she got it done at Verita with Deesha. The salon is all decked out for Xmas and beautiful! Deesha was so friendly-offering me iced tea and desserts when I got there. She gave me a great consultation. I could tell she really wanted to get my look just right, so I trusted her when she suggested an entirely new look. I am glad I did because the compliments haven't stopped coming in!!!! Now my entire family has booked appts with her and we can't wait to see what she will do for them! \r \r more

I recently moved to the area and was looking online for a new hairdresser and found her through her website monroviahairdoctor I was so pleased to find out what a beautiful salon she works in. It is immaculately clean as well. I had my color touch-up and monthly haircut done and couldn't be happier with the services. more

I went to Verita for the first time last week and found the salon to be lovely, in a fabulous location (Oldtown Monrovia) and spotless. I was even more thrilled by the quality of work by one of their stylists ""Decia"". I went in there frustrated with my dry over processed, badly dyed/cut hair and I walked out with smooth/shiny wonderful hair. I absolutely love the color and I think my hair was saved from being chopped off by an amazing Brazilian Blowout. I can't remember the last time I have had such soft hair. I appreciate all the suggestions and options that were presented to me during the consultation. The snacks and coffee were a really nice extra as well. My stylist moved away so i went to this salon because my husbands stylist works there.\r It is the prettiest salon I have seen. I have dark brown hair and have always wanted to go lighter but was told it would damage my hair too much. Decia said there were ways to do it to avoid all the damage. I was really excited, but nervous. When I walked from the shampoo area and she took off the towel I could already see the highlights! As she blow dryed my hair, I could see all the colors she used-I think 3. It looked totally natural, like I was born with it! Not only was there no damage, but it was shinier and softer than when I started! \r p.s. my husband got a kiss for his stylist recommendation and I got one back because he loved my new look! more

If you want a specialized cut, color or consultation Verita is the place for you. \r \r Decia Brooks is the stylist I have been going to for some time now. I know that whatever cut or color I am interested in, she will take the time to consult with me and ensure we are both in agreement with the results. I have never been dissapointed and have tried many colors and styles, from very long to very short cuts. Decia will go over how you too can achieve the same style at home, which I find very useful. \r \r Sexy, Conservative, or Rocker, you name it, she can do it! I've been going to Verita and Decia for 2 years. I agree with the other reviewer that Verita is very classy. They are very friendly, professional, and I LOVE the decor. To me it feels high-end yet comfortable. \r \r For my wedding, Decia asked me questions and helped me figure out what I wanted to look like. She is very knowledgeable about hair in photography, attended to every detail, and led me through the process of taking pictures and doing a trial run.\r \r When my wedding day came I felt calm and able to have fun. She even taught my bridesmaids how to make sure my hair and veil looked great in the pictures and at the altar. I was showered with compliments on my hair and looked and felt just gorgeous. Decia gave me the best hair ever...including clip-in hair extensions which she dyed and cut and curled to match my hair perfectly! It made my hair so full and shiny and several inches longer. Even though my hair was longer, my closest girlfriends and the Groom didn't even know until I told them. That's how perfectly it matched. \r \r She has creative vision, so much expertise, great taste and style, and most importantly she listens and knows how to do what you want. My Hairstylist works at this Salon. I have been seeing her for over a decade. She is great! The Salon itself is very clean and classy. There is a place to change if you don't want to chance getting anything on your clothes. Refreshments are available while you wait for your dye to set. A really good Salon. Ask for Decia! This is definitely something that every woman should have done. If you have had any type of chemical treatment done to your hair this is the best way to repair it. The conditioning treatment is all natural, chemical free it only takes about 2 hrs and will last up to 12 weeks. Your hair will love you and everyone will envy you for having such beautiful, healthy, shiny hair. The girls at Verita are certified trained and they have proven that.
