After filling out the necessary paperwork I waited an additional thirty minutes while the receptionist talked on the telephone to an obvious friend. when i got in the room The nurse came in took my vitals and a cultural of my throat because I mentioned that I thought I have strep throat. Twenty minutes later, the doctor enter the room. He was rude from the second he walked in the door asking rudely for me to put away my phone as though I was a young child. Then his first question was ?so what makes you the doctor, why have to diagnosed yourself with strep throat? I calmly answered that I had has this sickness before and that I was having the same symptoms. He then proceed to look at my throat within thirty seconds he said very abruptly ?well you don?t have strep throat.? Never getting the results, never hearing my symptoms, and never even looking at my throat with a light he made that decision. I had never experienced any doctor?s appointment going like this. He then proceeded to ask me my symptoms. I mentioned that I had the hot and cold chills. He then came close to my face and shook in arms back and forth in my face over and over again. Saying ?hot and cold shakes, hot and colds shake over and over again. I became emotional in part to feeling horrible and in part to feeling mistreated and not listened to. After if odd display he said that ?Well obviously you are not feeling well. I think you have meningitis. You need to go directly to the emergency room and get a spinal tap.? Being that my mother has been a nurse for 50 years I decided he was CRAZY and left the office. I then call my primary care and made an appointment that day. They too took a cultural on my throat that came back positive for strep throat! They prescribed me some antibiotic and today two days after this experience I am feeling better than ever.I expected a much higher level of compassion and knowledge! I am quite disappointed at Dr. daily?s diagnoses and treatment.
