I would not suggest this clinic or doctor to anyone. Especially not LGBT people. Long story - went to ER Friday Jan 24. Vaginal Mesh Implant is eroding and cutting me. Referred to different clinic who advised my type of implant is out of their scope. Referred me to Dr. Hall. Hall couldn't see me until following Friday, I told them on Medi-cal and Gold Coast wouldn't be active until Feb 1. They said they don't normally take it - but would this time. So go there, filled out paperwork and then got told they couldn't take the insurance, I could pay cash (I'm on medi-cal - if I could pay cash, I would have gone to a better doctor) Anyhow - I'm in extreme pain. I get Gold Coast number after hours of medi-cal and GC phone calls, they tell me active Feb 1. I call them to reschedule ASAP (already been in pain and possibly damaging myself internally for one week and medicated with oxycodone) and they tell me they have NOTHING until MARCH now... Are you serious? MARCH??? With this kind of issue? They know it can be life threatening and organ damaging... WOW!!!! I think it is because we are an openly LBGT couple and they decided they didn't want our business at all. Regardless - the staff was rude and the place is very old and decrepit. IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO CONTACT ME - please feel free to do so - I'm not hiding and I'd gladly tell them how the staff talked to me on the phone and in person. I never even got to see the doctor - because I didn't have their outrageous CASH requirement fees to just be looked at. ALL ABOUT MONEY - I thought doctors were supposed to do no harm. So if anything negative happens, between now and the time I get actual help from the County - or if I lose my bladder I WILL ALWAYS THINK THAT THIS DOCTOR'S OFFICE CAUSED IT. If you're LGBT - consider going elsewhere. If you're on any kind of assistance, they will treat you as if you're less than human.
