Variety Outlet Stores

Variety Outlet has a large selection of party, wedding, floral, arts/crafts supplies, a few off-brand toys, and giftware. I like their selection and the price is average or slightly below. They occasionally have clearance sales in which the prices are especially good. But their employees are rude. I found a small bird in a clearance bin marked $.67, but when I went to pay for it, the employee decided it was priced incorrectly (although the other employee said she had placed it in the clearance bin herself). If you want to place a balloon order, you have to order and pay in person in advance, necessitating 2 trips to the store. Their aisles are crowded and the sales ladies with long, teased hair are unfriendly (don't smile or greet customers, ""bark"" responses), unhelpful, and gossipy. They also close early and at an odd time, like 5:56 pm. The aisles are also too crowded and the store is messy so the store is not wheelchair accessible. more

I love shopping at the Pascagoula Variety Outlet. The store has a huge selection of items....seasonal, special occasions, holidays, arts and craft supplies, and gift giving ideas. We shop at this store on a regular basis and the employees have always been very helpful and are really nice to us. The only thing I miss about the store....the small pet department they use to have. It was neat to go in and see the different species of birds, reptiles, birds, etc that use to be in the back corner. Over all, this is an excellent store to visit...even if you are just window shopping for the time being. Pros: Lots of Excellent Items Cons: No Pets more

I PURCHASED 14 HELIUM FILLED BALLOONS OF WHICH WERE ALL BOUGHT FROM VARIETY OUTLET . THE BALLOONS DID NOT FLOAT 5 HOURS AFTER I PURCHASED THEM . I CALLED THE NEXT DAY AND NO ONE COULD SPEAK TO ME ABOUT THE BALLOONS . THEREFORE I WENT TO THE PASCAGOULA LOCATION WERE THE BALLOONS AND WAITED FOR APPROX: TEN MINUNTES UNTIL THE OWNER /MANANGER RICK DECIDED TO COME OUT FROM THE BACK OF THE STORE .. HE SAID THERE IS NOTHING HE CAN DO . THERE WILL NOT BE A REFUND OR ANY MORE BALLOONS . I THINK THIS IS POOR BUSINESS.EVERY DOLLAR COUNTS IN A BUSINESS AND THE MONEY I SPENT WILL NO LONGER BE SPENT AT ANY OF THESE CHAIN STORES ESPECIALLY THIS ONE . I WILL NOT HELP YOU STAY IN BUSINESS. more
