Vandy's Barbeque

Vandy's has great barbecue, but they also have excellent southern cooking. I love that you can buy a whole fried chicken and it is delicious. We don't eat out alot, and we are very particular about what restaurants we do eat at. I have had some of the best fried pork chops and stewed squash at Vandy's. I had so much food, and so did my children, that we had to get a carryout box. If you are looking for great food and wonderful barbecue, look no further than Vandy's. more

Vandy's used to have great food and good portions but the last time we went to the one (in the mall) was the last time we'll EVER go there. The prices went up yet the portions went WAY down! My husband actually asked the lady if she'd accidentally given him a smaller meal because he'd ordered a large one that he'd had there many times before and she said "no, we've changed the portions". We all left there hungry still, 30 dollars later! Our cups sat empty while the waitresses gabbed about someone getting "locked up" and the food wasn't that good when it got to us, it seemed like it had just been heated up and thrown on a plate. She didn't even warn us how hot the kids plates were and not only had my 2 year old's burned through the plastic plate, it also burned her mouth when she bit into it and she ended up screaming in my lap. I wouldn't recommend Vandy's to anyone, they're quality is poor now and their prices ridiculous. Go to Boyd's BBQ on Highway 80, they'll give you what you pay for there! more
