Dr. John Van Zandt has been our family vet since 2001, and we could not be more pleased with his compassionate, thorough care for our animals. He, and his amazing staff, have held our hands through the passing of two beloved pets, and continue to care for our pets today. Suzanne knows us in the way you would expect from a small town office: as soon as I say who is calling, she asks about our pets, by name, from memory. She hugged and cried with me when we had to make the heartbreaking decision to euthanize one of our animals. Sunflower Animal Hospital is also up to date, technology wise, sending friendly reminders via mail and email for the care of our pets, also helping us to find the best online pet medicine providers. We have been taking our new puppy to Sunflower Animal Hospital since May 2011 and have been very happy with the care and advice we have received. Everyone from the receptionist, to Dr Van Zant, to the groomer seem genuinely interested in our now 1 year old puppy's care. The staff is also great with our 3 kids and ask how they are when I happen to be in without them. more

Dr. VanZant is a caring and very competent veterinarian. He has helped us compassionately with the passing of our 14 year old Basset Hound and now has given really good care to our new 2 Basset Hounds. He has a wonderful receptionist that always remembers us, knows us and is very helpful with our needs. He has a small but wonderful and very clean kennel for vacation time when the bassets can't go along. They come back healthy and happy.
