Repairs were done in timely manner. 2/5/2012

I am new in the Fresno Area, I was told about Van Ness Auto Repair. I was very pleased with the service I received. I took my 2002 New Beetle for timing belt replacement as well as tensioner and other components. I will not go anywhere else to get any repairs on my vehicle. Jim and his crew are very professional and skilled. I will recommend this shop to anyone who is looking for efficiency and competitive repair pricing. more

Jim knows his stuff. He is quick, convenient and has a good staff of employees who take care of the customers needs. My Volkswagens go there. My Ford F250 goes there, my parents GM's go there (from Clovis even), and even my boat goes there. Plus Jim is a good neighbor and a friend to the Tower Community. more

Ever since I first found Van Ness Auto Repair I haven't gone anywhere else. They work hard to get the job done and do it right. The prices are fair and the staff is honest. Highly recommended! more

Trustworthy! Competent! Great Service! 11/8/2011

I've personally known Jim Medina now for over 10 years. Jim and his professional employees have worked on AND repaired my fleet of Volkswagens. Jim knows what he is doing. Van Ness Auto offers a great value along with the work quickly repaired. There is no shuck-n-jive. Just straight up competent repair work with a great value. My family come from outside of Fresno to have Jim repair their vehicles. From Fords, to older GMs to diesel powered Mercedes Benz. Jim has never failed to diagnose then repair even the smallest issue. You will find Jim to be an honest and capable tech. I highly recommend Van Ness Automotive. more

I just happened to find Jim's Van Ness Automotive located in the heart of Fresno's historic ""Van Ness Extension"" (Christmas Tree Lane) on a local internet search for a good auto repair shop, I found this one by the several 5-star reviews I found online. On my first visit I found Jim to be an honest, hard working master technician with a zeal to ""get the job done right"" and was pleased to see all of the technicians to be certified and working together like a well oiled machine. The location no longer serves fuel but instead provides a complete full-service automotive repair facility specializing in foreign and domestic repairs. If you have been searching for a local honest automotive repair shop in Fresno and are tired of getting the same old ""runaround"" try Jim's Van Ness Automotive and you will be pleasantly surprised. Honest Pricing - Excellent Service 12/1/2009

Well, for some reason, he took the fan fuse out of my car while he was working on the brakes. Then the car overheated and almost burned up before I spotted the problem. Friendly honest five-star service! 1/31/2008

Heard about Jim and his team from a long time native and it was the best tip I've received. My wife and I have no worries about leaving our cars, receiving an honest estimate, and having work done at a great price. They've worked on 3 of our cars, from a simple service and smog to troubleshooting problems that the dealer couldn't find. Every time, I've come away impressed and satisfied.
