Van Every Family Chiropractic Center

I would highly recommend Dr. Anna Saylor-Wither to anyone who has had a hip and/or shoulder replacement. She specializes in the KST Technique where the doctor uses an adjusting instrument to correct the position of the bones, muscles, and ligaments. This technique has proven to be VERY successful for me and has improved my mobility, balance, and strength. This technique keeps my hips and lower back aligned due to the doctor’s order of very specific adjustments. She is compassionate and kind, and takes the time to listen to what the patient has to say. I cannot describe how great my experience with this doctor and her entire staff has been. Many thanks for all the great care! more

Instead of writing a review, I'll simply cut and paste an e-mail it sent to this Van Every place. \r \r Here goes:\r Please stop sending me e-mails. I have every intention of never returning. \r I found my ""service"" absolutely terrible and a complete scam. \r Your team of billers at the front desk sat there for twenty minutes seeking every possible method of payment they could while I stood there in terrible pain and having to hold my head up with two hands because my neck no longer was capable. \r The actual ""chiropractor"" came in, spent 3 minutes with me tapping my chest with a little device, didn't even TOUCH my neck, and I walked out of there EXACTLY as I had walked in - except for my $170 bill. \r And I was told to come back again later that day and that it would take many more visits over a few weeks! \r What an awful scam! \r \r I went to Dr. Kalkan in Berkley directly after leaving your place and he worked on me the REAL and proper way until I walked out of his office 95% normal and with full ability and motion. I slept that night and woke up feeling 100%. He didn't mention payment until after he fixed me. \r \r I have gone to chiropractors my entire life, since birth (I am 33), and I have always recommended them highly to everyone. Often I run into people that hate chiropractors and have had terrible experiences. I never understood why until I came to see you. \r \r You give all chiropractors a bad name and you cause people that need help to continually live in pain because their vision of chiropractic medicine comes from places like the Van Every center, and they know there is no help there. \r \r If you had any moral decency you would close your doors immediately and go work at Taco Bell. I wouldn't trust people like you in any higher a position. I put your level of business ethics somewhere below those of Nigerian scam artists on Craig's List. Dr.Anna Saylor-Wither and Dr. Laura Vanloon are the best! The entire staff at VanEvery is warm, helpful, and caring. Our entire family has seen remarkable care and progress with treatments. I have seen many Chiropractors over many years since my first visit when my children were just toddlers. Now I see my grandchildren benefiting from the care they receive.The relief that I get from my migraines, sciatica pain and back pain is fantastic and would not be without it as part of my health care program.The KST method is a kinder, gentler but most effective treatment, never leaving me with muscle spasms or feeling stressed. KST and the care of VanEvery actually relieves stress. These are truly Family Practice professionals.I recommend them to everyone! more

Amazing care for the whole family! My husband and I switched to VanEvery years ago after several of my co-workers recommended it for our back pain and my chronic sinus infections. We both have felt great ever since and have been so much healthier. We since have had two children who are seen by both Dr.'s. My son was having breathing issues starting at 6 weeks and my daughter had reoccuring ear infections. We have been free from ear infections for almost a year and my son has not had to use breathing treatments since receiving care from Dr. Saylor and Dr. Vanloon. I can't say enough about both Dr.'s and the rest of the great staff at VanEvery! more

I just had the most amazing adjustment ever! I've had shoulder pain that I lived with for years, but was afraid of going to a chiropractor for fear of the dreaded 'popping' and 'cracking'. My friend recommended I try Dr.Saylor because of the gentle technique she uses. She used a handheld device and I felt immediate relief in my left shoulder! Although very sweet people, seemingly, this has got to be the worse chiro experience I have ever had in my life. Just feel like a piece of meat fed into the system. Used some clicky instrument up my back, & had no real adjustment as I have had in the past. Went 3 times to give it a chance, & yikes. They try to coerce you to write reviews & offer prizes for doing so, which is why it is the most reviewed chiro on line. My name is Lauren McMahan I am 13 years old and I live in Hazel Park Michigan. I started coming to Van Every Family Chiropractic Center in Royal Oak for about 3 months. I was born with ADD (attention deficit disorder) and I have been on a medication prescribed by my pediatrician to help. I have been taking this medication since second grade. I am in seventh grade now and hoping to be taken off it. My mom had been seeing Dr. Anna Saylor and Dr. Laura Vanloon and asked my pediatrician about me and my sisters seeing them. Since she said it isn’t needed we did a case study, this takes a scan of our back showing where we need the most help at. Ever since then I have been feeling great! The staff members are always nice and greet you every time you come in for your checkup. Before I went to Van Every I was distracted all the time, my sisters and I fought constantly, and I had a pretty bad attitude toward a lot of things. Now I am doing better in school, my behavior has been improved, and my sisters don’t fight as much anymore. I will have to say it took about a month before noticeable changes started to occur, but it worked. My experience at Van Every Family Chiropractic Center has been excellent. The entire staff works in a professional manner and the services are first-rate. All patients are shown courtesy and respect. I suffered with severe shoulder and neck pain when I first started coming to the office. Since having regular adjustments I have next to no shoulder pain and very little problems with my neck. I have gone from 8 - 12 ibuprofen per day to none. In addition, I have much better flexibility and generally feel so much better. I have been extremely happy with the care we have been receiving at Van Every Chiropractic Center! When I first went in for an adjustment, I had some terrible neck pain. Dr. Saylor used the KST treatment system on me, and within an hour, the pain had mostly subsided. Within a few days I was back to normal. I have also always dealt with chronic back discomfort, but I find that it is not as prevalent now then it has been. \r More importantly, I have seen it help my two children, who are 3 and 5. I do not get nervous when they get an adjustment, and they love going to the chiropractor because they get to play in the ""jungle room"", which is a room designed just for small children receiving adjustments. As you can see, the clinic is very family friendly. I love all of the different festivals that they run through the year. We try to go to them all. The kids have fun, and they walk out with lots of goodies. In fact, at one my daughter won a portable dvd player. All of the staff is fantastic, and make us feel like family. I found Van Every Chiropractic and Dr. Anna Saylor when I was pregnant with my first child in 2003. I was suffering from extreme back and leg pain and didn’t trust just anyone to work on me. The fact that she had extra training in children and maternity patients helped me make the decision to visit her and I did not regret it. She helped to correct the problems I was having and even offered to come to the hospital to see me after over 30 hours of labor. I seen her the day after I came home and had her do an exam on our baby girl that same day. She has been a life saver for me and my family. My husband was involved in a car accident and suffers from leg pain, neuropathy, headaches, and chronic back pain. His visits to Van Every Chiropractic help him to deal with the day to day activities. Also when I get a migraine that will not go away, I know where to go and that is Van Every Chiropractic. I let them work on all of my family and have been very happy to refer them to friends and family. Everyone at Van Every Chiropractic is kind and understanding and they go out of their way to make you feel better. I started attending traditional chiropractic visits a year ago after I was injured in a car accident. I knew nothing about this type of treatment but enjoyed learning about the benefits it could have on my body. As much as I enjoyed the immediate relief that it provided, four days later, I experienced all the same symptoms returning. I sought out KST after reading about it in the office. Although KST does not provide that “immediate” relief that traditional chiropractic does, it seems to allow my body to work on fixing itself hours after receiving a treatment. Typically within a few hours after receiving a treatment, I will experience increased range of motion and my body feels an overall sense of calmness. Dr. Saylor has been great and I have enjoyed learning from her the importance of allowing your body to heal itself. I only return for maintenance visits every few weeks and even when my neck gets tight, KST allows my body to read the signs and start working on fixing itself. I was referred to Dr. Anna Saylor and Van Every Chiropractic Center by my aunt. I didn't know much about chiropractic care before I visited the Royal Oak clinic. I was absolutely blown away by the professionalism and friendliness of their staff. It didn't take me long to feel like a part of the family! When I started my treatment I had headaches from grinding my teeth at night, lower back pain and neck pain. I love the staff and the doctors at Van Every Chiropractic Center! I started coming and just bringing my two kids, at the time 2 and 7. The two year old had a history of ear infections. Since seeing the doctors and staff at Van Every he has not had one infection and it has been over two years. Both suffered with allergies and constant runny noses every fall. They no longer have those issues either. I switched chiropractors for myself after seeing how progressive the doctors and the staff are in preventive measures for our overall health. I suffer from neck and back pain as well as arthritis in my knees. Dr. Saylor uses the Koren Specific Technique (KST) which has been a life saver for me. No hard manipulations.
