One of the areas top thrifting locations is located at 555 W Centennial Blvd in Springfield. Value Village advertises hundreds of new products go on the shelves daily.
Not just for women's clothing, this place is bargain hunters heaven. Best of all, clothes are still hung by size. I do not comprehend why many thrift stores think this isn't a helpful and essential service to their customers. At Value Village I am constantly amazed at how many items are available unused. These are shelved with the original tags and prices still attached. There's nothing like the thrill of the hunt, and finding something to wear that you will love and can afford!
Chico's, Gap, Tommy Hilfiger, Liz Claiborne, Timberland, Birkenstock -- I've seen all of these, and more -- and bought at a fraction of the price for new. Vintage and new, velvet, glam-n-glitter, little hippie girl or career up-n-comer...you may find that dream outfit hanging right here. Sizes run from "below zero" to the high pluses. Clothing condition varies -- so be sure you check the under arms, seams and hems. Even on "new" items, check for snags, missing buttons, stains or dye inconsistencies. For best buys, check the store often.
Value Village is an excellent place to look for a "one time" party dress, a costume, or budget work clothes. Buying thrift is also a wonderful resource for those who are taking a serious weight-loss journey. Try on a style you never thought you could wear -- you may end up being amazed at how great you look!
Taking items to the dry cleaner or paying for alterations allow you to dress for success (or to dazzle), keep your wardrobe up-to-date, and keep a few dollars in the bank.
