Valu Muffler & Brake

I brought my car in for an oil change and inspection. When it was finished it smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. The man in charge said that the mechanic, Mike smokes in the shop. There is no excuse for this. I have to get my car detailed to rid the upholstery of the disgusting cigarette smell. I will never go back there. more

We took our car to one of their shops for brakes. They wanted $750 for front and rear brakes on a Ford Escort, twice as much as Monro. After inspecting the brakes they pulled the car out into the parking lot and struck a dumpster, parked car and then the building. All because they did not follow procedure. Tom Shea the franchise owner was nowhere to be found. He wouldn't return our phone calls, didn't offer a rental (which we finally had to get ourselves), didn't explain the insurance process and even lied about submitting a claim. After 5 days without our car, the insurance co. totaled the car. Throughout it all Tom Shea never once accepted liability, acted in a professional manner and never apologized or anything. I'm informing everyone I can to stay away from any of these shops. Cons: Does not care about the customer more
