Valley Skate & Surf

I was so happy to find this store. They have the best stuff for kids with the best prices. I looked all over the place for a super safe helmet for a very active two-year old and Valley Skate & Surf had the best selection for the best price. (These are the really good helmets, not like those other bike helmets made out of Styrofoam, etc.)\r \r Great shoes for cheap prices, too! Etnies, Circa's, DC's, etc.\r \r They have so much inventory at this store, from young kids to adults...including the Superfeet running shoe inserts to Ugg boots. I paid a lot more money for Superfeet running shoe inserts at another store and then found them a lot less expensive at Valley Skate & Surf. \r \r Tim is the best! more

A rebuttal to the last review...you have the wrong store. There is no "guy" owner here and our prices are the lowest in town. Perhaps you meant to comment on one of the "other" skate/surf stores in the valley which do have male owners. more

everyone that works there's cool but the owner can be a little nutty. overall, not a bad place. they've got a decent selection and, like i said, the people that work there are cool and willing to help. just try to steer clear of the owner if you're looking for friendly service. more

My friend told me about this place when I asked where to see the best selection of old school skateboards and all the accessories needed to build one. He was right, they had more than enough for me to choose my set-up. Lots of decks, wheels, trucks, rails and even some nose guards and skid plates. I haven't been able to find those since the 80's. I had a great time talking to the employees, who were VERY knowledgeable even though they were younger than me. They set the board up perfectly. I'm enjoying it daily. I went to Valley Skate & Surf to check out their longboards. I'm so glad I did. I bought a Pearson Arrow 9'6" brand new board. It is incredible! It's the best I've ever had. I highly recommend this surf brand. The employee who helped me pick the board was really helpful. I also got fitted for an O'neill wetsuit that should keep me warm year round. I thought I knew about wetsuits, but Valley Skate & Surf knew all about the differences in each suit. I didn't understand about all the different stitches and neoprene types. They sold me what I actually needed, not what they necessarily wanted to sell. They suggested a bag for my board, but I just didn't have enough money. I will be back soon to buy it because I love my board and want to keep it perfect. Valley Skate & Surf is awesome. I hope to shop there for a long time. They really know their stuff! more

Valley Skate and Surf has been around since I was young enough to skate, which was years ago. But now they are a place I go for gear for friends and hopefully soon for my growing kids. They offer a good selection but most important is its a small store that takes care of its customers. more

Wow! I walked in the store and was amazed at the incredible amount of inventory! They have it all and more! The selection of skateboards and parts was awesome - and every price range to choose from. They also carry a ton of shoes, clothing and hats. I went crazy trying to decide on what to get. My brother bought a pair of aggressive skates and choose from about 15 different models! He had the same problem I did, he had trouble deciding which one to get. He ended up getting the one that felt the best and was worth the money. Luckily, the sales staff helped us out, otherwise, I think we would still be there. I looked around and saw some other stuff I would like to get later on, like a surfboard and wetsuit. Even though they knew I couldn't buy them right then, the sales guy explained the differences in each board and suit. I learned a lot. I would love to work there! They all were so nice. I recommend Valley Skate & Surf to anyone who is into these sports or just to look cool with more

I am not a big skating afficionado, so when I arrived at this shop I was expecting to get some patronizing attitudes from employees. Not at all. I needed to purchase some wheels for our rollerblades and I had no idea what to buy. The employees were very helpful, explaining my options and the pros and cons of each. They did not push the more expensive items at all. And then- a bog surprise- the offered to put the wheels on at no extra cost, which I have been told is very rare. They taught me how to rotate my wheels, which I really appreciated. All the extra help I received here has made me a regular customer. Highly recommended! more

This store holds some great equipment. You can but and rent all kinds of stuff. They sell skateboards, shoes, skates, and accessories. The pricing is great and they carry name brand stuff. THe only bad thing is it is hard to find and they close pretty early in the evening. more
