I understand the negative review. Dr. Gamette is rude in the office. he doesn't seem to listen to patients or be kind to us, the families, while we are there. the first time we met him he was extremely rude to me, the husband. he is a different person in the hospital though. he and Dr. Thorpe did superb jobs delivering our two youngest. I agreed with ar2009 about going to the Orem office. they are much faster and treat you with alot more respect there. don't go to the provo office unless you really have to be seen right away. Dr. thorpe, and Rees are both excellent, I'd recommend tthem to anyone. more

I am sorry for the couple that had such a negative experince with Dr. Gamette. I had heard several neg things about him and was nervous to be seen by him. I was quite pleased with my appointment with him. He was kind and funny. He delivered my first child and did a great job. When I miscarried my third pregnancy he was very kind during our phone conversation and sensitive to my feelings during that difficult time. I have delivered 2 children with this practice and have been very happy with my experience. The negative is that you tend to wait a long time to be seen, so plan accordingly. I found by going to their Orem office instead of their provo office I was seen much quicker. I have liked all the Dr there. the younger ones (Rees, Jacon and Broberg tend to take more time with you during the appointment and made me feel as though they would have answered my questions for hours if I needed them too. Thorpe did my D&C after my miscarriage and was very kind to me and sensitive to my feelings. Jones delivered my 2 child and was AWESOME! We had a terrible experience with Doctor Kent R Gamette at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center Birthing Center. We went into the hospital this morning at 5am excited to be having our 4th baby and looking forward to a miraculous culmination of a long and difficult pregnancy. Having done this 3 times before, we were sure we were off to the races with strong, painful, and consistent contractions. However, after about 2 hours at the hospital the contractions died. We told our nurse that we wanted to get induced... which led to a conversation with Dr Gamette that left us flabbergasted. Dr Gamette was an angry, rude, egoistic person and an uncaring, unprofessional, and unethical doctor. more
