WEDDING AND RECEPTION 6/21/2011

My daughter was married June 4th, 2011. The wedding and the reception was help at the Valley Dale ballroom. It was beautiful. The staff was wonderful with our many phone calls and emails that made the wedding and the reception a success. It was beautiful. The switch from the to wedding to the reception was done very smoothly. I would recommend the facility. It was beuatifully decorated and we only needed to supply a few things for the tables. We had been to a wedding 12-15 years before and my daughter made comment then that this is where she will be married and she did. A great staff and folks to work with. Thanks again for everything. SIMPLY PUT, ""THE BEST VENUE IN COLUMBUS, OHIO!"" 3/28/2011

My experience at The Valley Dale Ballroom was simply the best experience in my life!! My bride and I, my guests, my Salsa band ""Noel Quintana and The Latin Band"" all were mesmerized and in awe of the beautiful history and the ""SHOCK"" factor that it the Valley Dale!! \r \r When looking for a hall for our FIRST WEDDING reception and 10th Anniversary celebration, I was having a difficult time with the venues I was visiting throughout Columbus. I was entering locations, but not feeling the ""butterflies in my stomach"". After visiting countless venues, my wife told me to visit one more with her... The Valley Dale. Initially, when I arrived at the Valley Dale, I was again starting to feel disappointed when we drove up... however, when I walked through the doors... THE WATER WORKS FLOWED! I immediately felt what I was looking for, I teared up and told my wife, ""Whatever it takes, this is it!!!"" Our experience at the Valley Dale was AMAZING! My photographer, Andriy from AZAR Photography, and my videographer, Chris with Blue Skies Wedding Productions worked cohesively...amazing!! The Valley Dale staff treated us like royalty! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE VALLY DALE BALLROOM! You won't regret the experience! WOW! WOW! WOW! That's all I kept hearing from my guests! The Salsa Band leader was in awe and e-mailed me at 3AM after his long drive back to Cleveland to thank me once again saying, ""It was an honor to play for you at the Valley Dale Ballroom!!"" Grand Valley Dale Ballroom brings glamour, nostalgia, charm 3/3/2011

Mrs. Ohio America loves the Grand Valley Dale Ballroom. We have been crowing Mrs. Ohio on the Valley Dale stage since 2007 and it adds major glamor and prestige to our event. The Mrs. Ohio's who have been crowned there say they feel like princesses at Cinderella's ball with the amazing chandeliers, swathed draped chiffon and sparkling lights. Plus, we love the staff - Dane - you are the best!!! We so appreciate how very special you make Mrs. Ohio!! I recommend the Grand Valley Dale ballroom to any one having an event - wedding, pageant, fashion show - it will for sure add a high-glam, old-school Hollywood fabulousness to it!!! more

perfect fairytale wedding 11/20/2010

My son recently got married at Valleydale.It was the perfect place for the wedding and reception.The place is gorgeous with a big beautiful dance floor which was used heavily that night!The staff was personal and very professional.It was so special watching the two of them come down the spiral staircase...just breathtaking! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who would like a memorable experience. more

A Storybook Wedding 11/17/2010

The Valley Dale Ballroom is a wonderful venue to host a ceremony and reception. It has such ambiance and history. Our guests were so enamored and in awe of the place. The staff was so helpful pulling this all together from scratch. They were helpful from day one to make it a great event. The ballroom staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The bartenders were great! If you needed anything at all, they were right there.\r I am sure the Valley Dale Ballroom needs no references because it speaks for itself. It was a perfect wedding night for our daughter! more

A historic place with lots of beauty 11/10/2010

I could not have been more pleased with my reception at the The Grand Valleydale Ballroom. It was remarkable, just wonderful. I did not have a wedding coordinator, and everything turned out perfect with the help and advice from Valley Dale's staff. All of my guests felt very welcome and comfortable at the reception. It is a great historic place and all my guests keep commenting on how unique and beautiful our wedding was more

The Perfect Wedding Day 11/10/2010

Seriously, from the word ""go"" (or even the words ""think about it""), this was an amazing venue to work with. The professionalism shown by Dana and her staff, met and exceeded my expectations. And, that's not that easy to do, especially in this situation where I wanted everything as perfect as humanly possible. The historic setting was perfect for us, and the size of the venue was also perfect for our 310 guests...the night was superb (so many people commented on it after the wedding), and ... I just can imagine having held our reception anywhere else. And I'm so glad we worked with Dana and all the vendors to make a seamless event; my wedding day was everything I could have wanted, and Valley Dale had a huge hand in that. more

Stay Away 8/2/2010

Hi Columbus Just completed some research on local venues, Valley Dale Ballroom located on Sunbury Road to my great surprise from different promoters and associates, This Company NEVER returns damage deposits ($250.00) always make excuses why its not returned either the check is in the mail or next week you will receive payment. Please stay away from this venue. more

No Security 7/22/2010

Please, if you are interested in renting this facility for your wedding or are attending one here soon, be constantly aware of your surroundings and personal belongings. Unfortunately for my wife and I (married July 2010) Valley Dale's record of less than perfect security was not presented to us and our projector used for our slideshow was stolen. After further research we also have found that Valley Dale has a history of vehicle break-ins and theft in addition to gift theft as well. So please be very aware of individuals you don't know and always question what strangers are doing. So please, make sure someone you know is constantly watching your valuables while you try to have a good time because I can assure you, the office staff at Valley Dale will be of no assistance. Cons: No Security, History of Theft more

A wonderful night 2/11/2009

I just wanted to write to you and let you know how perfect everything was for our wedding May 2007. Everyone was perfect ,your staff was very curteous to everyone in attendance and the night was absolutely amazing ! I couldn't imagined it to go any better than it did. Thank you so much for allowing us to come in early to set up , it made it so nice ....Our wedding day the most special day to us. You helped us so much and were so respectful to our needs. Elegant Historic feel 7/16/2007

I attended a wedding reception here. The hall is large with room for more than double the 200 that were attending. The dance floor is large and the sound system is great. The rental fee is reasonable for size of the facility, however, the bar cost is far too high. Approximately $23 per person, children also. The quality of the alcohol was very low, definitely not up to the standard of what you would expect at any bar. There are no options about what brands of alcohol are available or brands of beer or wine available. The food served was adequate and served hot, although a little expensive for buffet style at $25 per person. So, if you don't mind really expensive, low quality drinks at an elegant historic building, then you should try the Valley Dale ballroom. However, don't plan on staying late, the facility closes at 11:00 pm. I would recommend a local hall where you can bring your own drinks and get your own caterer and stay as late as you want. Pros: Good parking, elegant historic building, reasonable rental fee, close to airport. Cons: Expensive but low quality bar offerings, expensive food, closes early. more
