Regarding the negative reviews below...those staff members mentioned are long gone. There is never any work done w/o a client's authorization. \r One review mentioned not being able to choose your doctor so getting a different one each time...Valle Verde A.H. is a one doctor practice so that individual must have been reviewing a different clinic. Only happy, positive, organized people at the clinic now! :) more

I absolutely love Dr Wallace (Doc) and Valle Verde Animal Hospital. I have been going to him for many years and trust him completely. He is warm and caring and always explains your pet issues and options. When my golden retriever needed surgery Doc made sure that he called me afterward and even texted me photos of my dog. He really goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable.\r \r The staff is friendly and they are great at scheduling so you rarely have to wait.\r \r I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants a compassionate great vet. more

My name is Kathryn and I was a tech at Valle Verde Pet Hospital for 3 years. I have worked in several clinics as a tech and without a doubt have found Valle Verde Pet Hospital to be the most organized and smoothly run practice I have been in. Dr. Wallace is a hard working conscientious vet who put the pets' care above all. I have seen him pull numerous all-nighters and sleep near his patients in the same pen!! He seems to always go the extra mile to make things right. Clients love his personality and caring manner. I would strongly recommend this hospital to anyone!!! my family, my friends, anyone!! number one in my book. I see some bogus reviews from previous unhappy employees? Bad apples in every business i guess....kw more

Please do not take ur pets here, I know from first hand experience, behind the scenes what happens here. If u have any feeling that something is off go somewhere else. Your pets are not being cared for well here, they stay in cages all day, has you drop off early ""to spend more time with them"". They stay in cages all day sometimes not being looked at until hours later. He puts most pets under anesthesia no matter age or health, and doesn't tell the owners. He doesn't care what the owners think, if they need to talk to him or anything, he's unavailable most of the time. I personally know a few people who have posted reviews, you should think about going elsewhere. For your pets sake. I never once took my dog here, and never would, even if it was free. more

Dr. Wallace is the worst vet ever. He puts all animals under anesthetic when he tells you he is just sedating them. He charges outrageous prices and he barely does any work. He doesnt take care of the boarders and the runs are falling to pieces. And most important his temper is out of this world. more

I have a Pug named Bruno, a Shar-Pei named Ralphie and an American Bulldog named KC Gooonie and I have been taking my dogs to Valle Verde Animal Hospital for years. I love Dr. Wallace!!!! He is the best vet, and everyone that works with him are just as wonderful too! I am a huge fan of Dr. Wallace! more

For over 20 years I have been taking my dogs and cats (yes, I have a few) to Doc (as he likes to be called). He runs a one man clinic that has been in Green Valley since the early 1980's, which is when I started going there. I make it hard on the staff and the Doc with all my eccentric little demands, but they comply in such a caring manner. It's a shame that few old fashioned, one Dr. clinics, still exist. Doc always seems to be up on the newest fads too, so don't let his old fashioned charm fool you. Pros: Caring, Professional, Excellence more

I have many dogs. They know that sometimes it's tough for me to get the care I need. However they work with me and always take care of the pet. My dogs go there because he is thorough and will go that extra mile to make sure they are healthy. We worked out a system to bring them all in for their yearly shots. You should see us. One at a time in the front door, I drive around back and pick them up out the back door. Once I've got my cargo safely home I go back and settle up. The staff is wonderful to me as they know how much I love these babies. I've gone in for both emergencies and non emergencies. Emergencies he takes in immediately and fixes the problems. Non emergencies are the same. They get treated as quickly as he can. I love these folks and would recommend them to anyone needing pet care.\r Pros: Takes care of business more

The girls in the office were courteous , friendly and quite knowledgeable. My son-in-law is a vet in the Fresno area so I am extremely picky. I recommend this clinic highly. My dog Lucky actually wags her tail when we go there. . My dog loves everyone there and that says it all. more

We have had the most horrib experience with Dr. Stan Wallace and his office. His staff receptionists, Heather and Stephanie, are some of the most snotty, arrogant and ignorant staff I have ever encountered. We took both of our dogs in- one for a UTI and the other for a neuter. We spoke to Stephanie at the beginning regarding fees. We explained that if all charges were going to be over $700 to please call us. "Oh you'll be fine" "It should not be over $700 at all". We felt the same way- at $700 that was extremely high! We went to pick up our dogs at the bill was $1449.74. They had performed all of these services without our authorization. $201.00 xrays, Etc. Our dogs were healthy and happy when we took them in. It was not as if they needed ER care or something. Now, they are refusing to give our animals back until we pay the full bill. We are devastated. Crooks! PROS: Zilch. Nada. None. Zero. CONS: They will steal from you and lie. more

Definitely not the best vet i've been.There equivalent to a walk-in clinic for humans (as opposed to a private physician). But the prices are reasonable and you don't need an appointment (and you don't get charged a walk-in or emergency fee for having no appointment). But you can't request your vet, and i've had some good ones and a few horrible ones. If it's something life-threatening, I'd go somewhere else, but for something routine, this place is OK for what it is. more
