The only good thing about this place was the food portions. On the other hand, they are more expensive than pretty much every other mexican restaurant I've ever been to. They charge for the chips and salsa that they bring to your table without informing you of the charge up front, or pointing out on the menu that there is a charge. Every time you get more salsa or chips, you get another charge. Supposedly it says in the menu that the first round of chips and salsa are free, but we were charged for all of it. As a former waitress, I would have pointed something like that out. The service was very slow. It was impossible to get a refill on drinks toward the end of the meal. We were done eating for 10 minutes before the waiter even came out of the kitchen again, and even then he didn't come anywhere near our table. The atmosphere is below average. The food was ok, nothing to write home about. Oh, and the ""Appetizer de Valle"" lands you an extra .75 PER ITEM on the plate if you get shredded beef or pork. So there's an extra charge for the beef on the nachos, and for the quesedilla, and for the beef and cheese rolls. So that $10.50 menu item turns into 12.75. Yes, they put on the menu that there is an extra charge, but not that it's per item. Again, something that I feel should be mentioned by the waiter. $57 and no military discount in a military town, I'm pretty sure I won't be taking my kids back. This was by far the most expensive meal with the crappiest service my family has had since I've been stationed here.
