Valero

Valero Rye Brook is a crooked gas station. I went in for (what I thought would be) a routine NYS inspection, only for ""Omar"" to tell me I needed new brakes, new tires, new etc. etc. etc. Somehow, I passed the inspection anyway .... because my new buddy Omar was going to give me a ""deal"" on the brake job. Sure thing! Anything to get my car out of there as soon as possible.\r \r Now, my Z4 -- which was in perfect condition when I drove it in to Valero on 6/1 but drove it out (very carefully) with a rattling noise following the ""inspection"" -- is at BMW with a loose belt. Belts *do not* come loose on a BMW all by themselves. In 20 years of driving several of them, that has NEVER happened. Now, I am faced with thousands of dollars in repair for a lousy $37.00 inspection. True, I didn't need an appt. and was out in an hour -- but it just wasn't worth it.\r \r Omar is a complete crook. And guess what -- he still hasn't called me back with his great ""deal"" on the brake job. No need to wonder why about that. more

In the several time I have been there, Amron has alway given me several choices of service. He has explained each problem, and the severity (or lack there of) of each issue clearly. The prices are always what he estimate OR LESS. All work has been completed on time or early. more

I brought my car in early in the morning for an inspection. I was expecting to leave my car for a few hours but these guys did it right on the spot. They were quick, courteous and helpful. I work on my car when I can, when things are beyond my means that's when I take it in to the real experts. I only take it to places that I trust and this is one of those places. more

They tried to charge me $311 for oil change lube and tire rotation (should cost about $75.) The inept mechanic, believe it or not, poured wiper fluid in the container for the engine coolant and would have ruined my car if I hadn't caught him. The stereotype of a bad auto shop. Avoid. more
