No one like Hudson 2/5/2011

So I have moved from Cornelius to Chapel Hill, NC. I have attempted to find someone to cut my hair for the past six months and have been to four different salons. I have had to come back to Hudson at Valeria's each time to get it done right. No one does it better! Hudson, can you move over to Chapel Hill? more

Hair Color Nightmare! 9/8/2010

So a friend referred me to this salon where i was to receive a trim and color. Hudson Valeria aka part owner and senior stylist was the person i saw. What I wanted was all over golden blonde color for my long brown hair and a minor trim. What I got was a horrific, expensive and very unapologetic disaster. Instead of doing all over color, Hudson gave me a head full of foil highlights and chopped off 6 inches. The color was different shades of ash blonde, choppy, it wasn't blended well and brought me to tears. i paid $250 for a hair nightmare! Hudson proceeded to tell me that the cut, "made me look so much better now". ugh. this guy is way overpriced for how terrible he is. I would never, ever recommend any of my friends to go there. more

Save your Money - Save Your Hair 4/16/2010

After several tries at this salon I was disappointed again and again. I am happy to pay top dollar for great looking hair and quality service... I got neither at Valeria. The highlights were sloppy and the lowlights were ORANGE. She tried to tell me the BRASSY ORANGE in my hair was the lighting in the salon. I paid $180 for a cut and color that was terrible!!!! After several attempts with the same SENIOR STYLIST I decided to take my business elsewhere. Pros: Location Cons: Poor Service, Over Priced, Terrible Results more

I moved to the Charlotte area 3 years ago and recently visited Valeria Salon & Spa, this was the best salon expierience I've had since moving here! The entire staff was great along with my hair stylist Rachelle, she did a wonderful job! more

best color and cut ive ever had! 3/1/2010

i went to valeria this past weekend and had an awsome experience. i had my hair highlighted and cut and it looks the best its ever looked before! i was very happy with the customer service also. as soon as i walked in they checked me in with my stylist and served me a drink right away. the place is beautiful and i feel like my stylist was really up to date on all the lastest trends and gave me her opinion on what would look best on me. the pricing was so reasonable too! you have to check it out, best salon experience ever! Pros: great service more

Horrible Experience 10/6/2009

I went for the first time yesterday to Valeria Salon, my stylist was Geri the owner of the salon, and she was horrible. I told her I wanted my hair red and it turned out brown. Also, when I go in for a full color and she only does my roots not ever doing my hair before and doing a color that does not match the rest of my hair. Then she proceeds to tell me it will cost me 30 more dollars to put a glaze on my ends to match the color. Well by that time it was to late to say no and I had too. Then I told her she did not need to blow dry or style my hair, thinking that she might give me a break on price, NO! As I was checking out she charged me 40 for the glaze. The whole thing cost me an arm and a leg and I don?t even like it. I would never go there again. It was way over priced and the service was not good. I could have done a better job myself. Valeria is worth the price 8/22/2009

I have been going to Valeria off and on for a few years now. My stylist, Lindsey, is fabulous. I have very curly hair and she knows exactly how to cut it. She also does a wonderful job on my low-lights and highlights. My only complaint (which is why I have gone to other places at times) is the price. You really pay a steep price for their services. My highlight and cut costs $170 with tip. I have come to realize through the years that it is worth the price to have my hair looking good. more

GREAT MASSAGE BEAUTIFUL SPA 4/1/2009

I just got my third massage from Julie Dean. She is the BEST EVER!! I travel extensively and get massage all over the world - Julie listens to my needs and gives me the perfect massage. Sometimes I want Deep Tissue and sometimes I just want a wonderful relaxing swedish massage. I highly recommend the spa at Valeria and Julie's therapeutic and relaxing massage. more

I have to disagree with all of the bad reviews on here...It's much easier for people to vent about a bad experience than to brag about a good one. The staff is very friendly. I have been a client there since Valeria opened and I have never had a bad experience. The ones on here who have, probably have another side to the story! more

I LOOOOVE my hair! Jodi is the best!! :) 8/6/2008

In the past i have had really bad hair cuts. I moved to Huntersville and found VALERIA Salon and I have been there ever since. I was hesitant to see a junior stylist but I couldnt pass up the prices. I got a full highlight and cut and only paid $120!! At my last salon I paid $175!! I was VERY impressed, my hair has never looked so good! I send all my friends to her. I've been to Valeria salon several times now. The salon is very nice and they have a boutique you can shop in when you arrive. My stylist, Elyse is wonderful.She listens well and does an incredible job on my highlights and hair cut! I would definitely recommend giving her a try. more

I moved from out of town recently and after several attempts finially found a great stylists. I went to Valeria Salon and saw Elyse, she has been doing hair for years and does an amazing job with my highlights and haircut. I never thought I could replace my old stylists but she is wonderful! I would recommend her to everyone she will make you look amazing too. more

I went to this salon about a week ago and had a great experience! It is beautiful inside and very classy looking. Employees were very kind to me and very helpful. The pricing seemed reasonable to me considering what a great job they had done on my hair! more

A little too snobby. 11/1/2005

I went in this place, and they looked at me funny. I had an appointment and told the girl, and she acted as if I was supposed to know what the lady looked like and go in there and find her! Once seated, the stylist did a wonderful job, they offered me something to drink, and a chocolate covered strawberry. But plan on dropping a weeks pay for a haircut. more
