I brought in two of my very expensive ballet flats to this place to add a protective soles on the bottom of the shoes. Simple, right? They were brand new, never been worn Lanvin flats...no scuff marks, no tear, nothing. They came out with some glue spots on top of my light colored, butter soft leather, two good size tear along the side of the flats where it looked like they shaved off the excess protective soles and several scratch marks. Not just one pair but both pairs of shoes. They didn't totally ruin the shoes but I definitely think they were without a doubt careless. Otherwise at the very least, the shoes won't have spots of glue on it. Right?\r

Did I mentioned each pair was $575 each? I waited five years and finally splurge on these puppies for my birthday. Lesson learn!\r

That said, I'm sure Valencia Shoe Repair is great for simple shoe repair, like the people here have raved about but DO NOT bring in your expensive goods. Take them to an expert. I'll go back to Sherman Oaks Fashion Square Shoe Doctor. They are more expensive but they get it done right. \r

P.S. I also brought in a Philip Lim designer handbag at the same time I brought my flats in to have the straps shorten. I was in a rush so I didn't notice until I got home that night that the strap was reattached twisted. (sigh) I mentioned to my friend and neighbor who has lived in Santa Clarita forever about my experience and she said, ""oh that place, they didn't do me any favors when I went there years ago"". I should have asked her first. Live and learn.
