IRENE and Staff at the salon are amazing!! 10/25/2007

Irene is single handedly helping to repair my hair step by step! Irene, the owner of the Vaksberg Salon, is a hair guru of sorts, helping my damaged locks become more and more healthy each day! I went to Irene with chemically damaged and broken hair, looking for help, and she provided it and then some! She took the time with me that no other stylist EVER had before, and she explained to me what I needed to do to start getting my hair back into better shape. Day by day my hair is improving under her tutolage, and I only have her and her fabulous staff to thank! If you are looking for personal service and have damaged hair like I did, and felt there was no where to turn...think again! Irene can help save your locks! Irene you are a hair doctor...I can't thank you enough! more

OUTSTANDING service and affordable prices 9/12/2007

I started going to Irene b/c her old salon was right around the corner from me, but am still going to her even though she moved her salon since she is the BEST! Irene is the master of a natural, beautiful cut that is easy to maintain. And she is a GENIUS when it comes to color. My highlights are so natural and beautiful that I only need touch ups 2-3 times a year. All this and she is incredibly affordable-- I would have to pay 2 to 3 times as much for the caliber of work I get done at a fancy Bevery Hills salon. Irene is a wonderful person who truly cares about her customers and believes that everyone deserves a beautiful, managable haircut/color at a price they can afford. I get compliments contstantly. Great hair, great conversationalist, great person. I'm not one who likes to sit for a long time chatting with hair stylists--luckily Irene is fast and actually lovely to chat with! impeccable talent for hair, best in LA 7/22/2007

Based on Citysearch , my daughter and I sent my husband to Irene as a guinea pig. When he came home, we didn't feel guilty about our little deed. He looked terrific! Soon after, we conducted a second ""secret agent"" evaluation by sending my son (a working actor) for a hair cut. His hair looked magnificent! This was the first time that my curly haired son was able to style his hair in numerous variations and styles. Our favorites being the short faux-hawk and classy James Bond (Casino Royale) look, all with one haircut by Irene. My daughter went next, previously she had her hair done at Frederick Fekkai on Rodeo and one of the stylists there had chopped off seven inches, ignoring her request of a trim. So upsetting that she now wears extensions. Irene made her comfortable, spent time consulting with her. What looked skimpy and limp is now full and gorgeous. She is thrilled with her hair now, and Irene's cut gave her a wonderfully flattering style without sacrificing length. Now it is layered in a playful way that looks natural, yet glamorous and is easy to style. more

I was having a pretty difficult day, but as soon as I sat down Irene made me feel uplifted. She has such a pleasant demeanor about her, plus she cuts hair better than anyone I've experienced. I was so pleased with my haircut, it was a truly wonderful cut by a master hairstylist. If your looking for a great hair style, with out the pretension, You must try this! I have been going to Irene for my haircuts and highlights for over 5 years now! During this time I tried other hairdressers that were closer to me but no one compared to Irene! She has this great ability to give the perfect haircut and color every time!! I have fine, thin hair and Irene knows exactly how to cut it and the cut continues to look good for months!! I have not been able to find anyone else who comes close to styling my hair the way Irene does. Irene is great at customizing her work for your personal desires - conservative, fun, flashy, trendy, she knows and does it all!! My mom flies out to visit me from the Midwest and getting her hair done by Irene is now a ""must do"" for all of her trips! I highly recommed going to Irene for all your hair styling needs, she really is amazing in her work and an absolute great person too!! Best stylist for tricky / difficult hair. 6/27/2007

I'm one of Irene's longest-standing clients (since 1990) and for the last 5 years I've been driving over 20 miles for her to cut my hair, which says a lot! She is awesome--no one knows how to cut, relax or color naturally curly hair like she does. More importantly, she is a terrific human being. Go see Irene--you won't be disappointed! more

I have been going to Irene for nearly 4 years now. She is remarkable; I'm nearly embarrassed by how many compliments I receive about my hair cut and color. Irene listens to you and works with you to create the style and color that would look best on you. I admire her enthusiasm and respect her knowledge & skill. I also think its great that she is always organizing book drives & canned food collections for local organzations. She is always trying to give back to the community. I feel so fortunate to have found such an awesome stylist. You can't go wrong with Irene! more

Irene is an excellent colorist. She is honest and straight-forward about your hair and how to get the results that you want. She has superb technique from years of experience and is constantly bettering her skills by attending workshops and the sort to stay current and fresh with her ideas. Irene has a friendly and genuine personality which makes visiting the salon regualrly a great experience. I get complements on my hair and how natural the color looks all the time. Go see her! Irene was recommended to me by my friend Kimberly, who is very particular about her hair. My experience with Irene has been fantastic. She is dedicated to her craft, really fun to talk to and downright awesome at everything she does. My hair is definitely a problem child. I have cowlicks and wierd curls. Stylish haircut at a very reasonable price - with a great hairdresser 5/10/2007

I have let Irene Vaksberg cut and shape my hair ever since she did a food drive back in 2001. She keeps herself up-to-date and educated on all the current hair cutting techniques and hair styles, so I've always been able to trust her to give me a cut that will look good, won't take a lot of work in the morning, and which is still kinda hip. She's also an ethical, moral human being (which is always great in anyone). She only charges a reasonable fee for women or for men, so if you haven't tried her yet, I would highly recommend you do. I'm fussy, and I've stayed with her because she's good at what she does, charges fairly, and is a good person. What else do you want? Pros: Good cut, fair price, free parking more
