Got a call from a gal at their office this morning to say I won the drawing at the Portland Boat Show and she wanted to ""go over a few things with me"". When she discovered I did not fit their ""demographics"" for a future buy-in client, I was no longer able to have the 2nights, 3 days prize draw but would be put in for the ipad. She was SO RUDE, and I wouldn't want her representing MY business anywhere. I understand that they are looking for a certain clientele but a prize draw is a prize draw - GIVE me my prize! She also said I would need to come to their office so they could explain the whole thing to me... I understand NOW that means they will try to sell time share to me. \r \r JennyGal down the list here, I am glad you are enjoying VI but don't slam the rest of us. I am not AT HOME on my computer... I travel the world and have for the last 27 years WITHOUT VI! AND will continue to do so WITHOUT them. I have even taken life a step further and LIVED in some of those marvelous international places that I've visited! NO POINTS NEEDED! \r \r We who are complaining here are saying that a drawing is a drawing - if someone wins a draw then, the prize should be given. And the ""trickery"" to get people in the door is a COMPLETE lack of professionalism.\r more

I have been a member of VI for over 20 years. It seems now they are getting involved with Hotels (The Pinnacle Canada) . No kitchens as guaranteed in the sales presentation and as I have experienced in the past. When the two Bobs ran the show it was good. Now it is becoming very questionable. I have enjoyed being a member but am becoming skeptical now. No Kitchen? Your selling me a hotel room at Condo prices? Really? This could be the beginning of the end. more

Oh what a scam. The ""fun hour and 1/21/2012

Oh what a scam. The ""fun hour and half"" was 3 hours of pure hard level selling. There are only 3 properties driving distance from Portland- the others are long flights away. The salesmen are ruthless, completely dishonest and make up stories on the spot to counter anything you say. We went with an open mind but could tell 10 minutes into it that this was a scam. To get our ""free trip"" we stuck it out- and the ""Free trip"" is anything but. You have to travel on a Weds, Thurs or Friday- leave late PM on day 1 and return early AM on day 3. That leaves ONE day at your site. And the ""free trip"" is about $200 in fees and taxes. Save yourself 3 hours and don't go. It was a horrendous experience. more

SCAM ALERT!!!!!!!! 11/18/2011

BetterBusinessBureau ranking of ""F"" wish i could give them 0 stars. dont go there unless you are planning on buying. try worldmark or another more reputable company. was promised 8day/7night cruise plus airfare to bahamas or mexico, for attending a ""90 minute"" sales presentation at vacations international in vancouver, Wa. After being recieved by salesperson ""Amy"", she immediately told me that we would be there at least 2 hours, which i said was unnaceptable because we had to get home to our kids and had been told by phone salesperson that ""it would not last longer than 90 minutes as salespeople want to get home to their families also."" when my wife received a text from our 13 year old daughter, we were immediately escorted out of the building. their excuse was that i had said my wife and i had gone out to dinner and that we had a beer! (i had 1 beer!) they wasted our time and should not make promises they will not keep. BADBADBADBAD!!!! more

BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE!!!! 8/28/2011

I've been a Vacation Internationale owner for 14 years now, and I LOVE IT! It's funny how everyone who writes a negative comment/review about VI is someone who had some complications with their free gift, which isn't free (DUH!) because you need to pay taxes for them (there's taxes on EVERYTHING in america.. nothing's free!) Most VI owners are too busy travelling and having fun, spending quality time with their friends and family, while those who couldn't get qualified into the program are complaining on their computers AT HOME. As an owner, I've been able to stay at VERY luxurious resorts and condo's with wonderful accommodations where I wouldn't have been able to stay at and afford if I didn't own this program. Such resorts include All-Inclusive resorts, private villas with private pools and jacuzzis, full kitchens, and convenient amenities. Also, the program has GREAT value, especially if you look at what it can get you compared to the ""deals"" I can find on Priceline and other online ""deals."" I definitely and strongly recommend Vacation Internationale to EVERYONE, especially if you want to travel more and save a TON of money! It's the best thing my family and I have done in our lives, because we have been able to share wonderful memories at breathtaking locations because of this program! more

Vacation International in Vancouver, WA 6/23/2011

We own a timeshare & been to several presentations over the years, some good some bad. Got a call 2 weeks ago to come again they asked if we have been there in the past year, told them can't rememer, they said just a minute I will look it up and then comes back and says we are eligible. Made the 2 hour drive get there and get the run around saying "" We were there less then a year ago, what makes this time change your mind about buying, and that we CAN afford this and that WE are wasting THEIR time and the boss says this salesman is only 21 years old trying to make a living"". Plus they promised a 5 day 4 night cruise with airfare and find out it is 3 day 2 night. Told them I wasn't gonna sit there and have us ridiculed when THEY called US to come down, and the rep says""Oh they will call you every week"", and says don't go we will find SOME gift you can use. Well why sit thru that be degraded for probably some steak knives or something. The Hell with that crap. more

Not for everyone 11/19/2010

My wife made me go to this a couple months back and it was nothing I expected. She was offered a free trip to come to a presentation. I reluctantly went. It was actually very informative, I have never felt less pressure at a sales presentation in my life. We had a fun couple of hours! We were laughing through the presentation, everyone there was friendly. The rep we sat with was very helpful and told us what they had wasn't for everyone. We however, love vacationing and would rather stay in a resort over a hotel any day for less money! They answered all my questions and gained my trust. They found us an affordable plan and I haven't regretted our ownership since! I appreciate the closers honesty and that they didn't candy coat anything. They happily shared upfront the limitations and restrictions that the resorts have and it hasn't affected our use of them yet. We even have the managers number we call anytime we have questions! more

Wish we would have become owners! 11/19/2010

What gives them 4 stars instead of 5 is that they can only offer their best program the day of the presentation. I get that it is the law and blah blah but still I wish I would have realized what a great deal it was when I was there. It seemed like a lot of money but for years of resort vacations it was probably worth it. Well I guess we have to start feeding the piggy bank for our next trip. more

Sales Presentation 12/7/2009

My wife and I listened to their sales presentation last week. Looks like an excellent vacation product from a reputable company, though it can be had on the secondary market at probably a quarter or less of the price they company is selling it at.\r \r We felt very, very pressured and went through 3 salespeople before getting our promised rewards. first was a $20 gift card to Olive Garden, simple and straightforward. Second was a ""Fly Away Vacation Passport"" which included airfare plus 2 nights hotel for 2 to various destinations. The travel reward is obtained through ""PTS travel"". If you want to see how good a reputation they have or how easy it will probably be to actually utilize the reward then just google them. We aren't going to send in the $100 you have to give them just to see if you can even make reservations with all the restrictions they have.\r \r Pros: Very nice sales staff, good product Cons: Pressured sales, Realizing rewards Difficult more
