This place is soooooooooooo expensive, and they are always trying to upsell you on some services. Forget them. Oh, did you happen to see what kind of car the vet drives? I rest my case. more

Five stars is not enough! 5/29/2011

Our wonderful dog of 16 yrs was in pain, wasn't eating or drinking all day, and couldn't walk very well. These were all parts of what was her quality of life. Her decline was gradual at first, then very fast the last 2 weeks or so. more

Dr. Kuzmickas and Southwick Animal Hospital the Best 4/12/2011

If you want the best care your pets can receive go to Dr. Kuzmickas at her Hospital. We were brokenhearted when she left a CT practice to open her own hospital. We were fortunate to find her after one of our dogs became deathly ill. Dr. Kuzmickas called her a miracle dog, but we know that dog's precious life was saved by her. The outcome would have not been the same elsewhere. We've never received anything but the best care and compassion a veterinarian can provide more

Southwick Animal Hospital is caring and professional the minute you walk in the door. They have been 100% wonderful with all my animals and I trust in them completely. When my older puppy passed away they were incredibly compassionate. As far as negative reviews, if you put a price tag on the health and well being of your pet, you do not deserve a pet. Shame on you. more

Bad bad bad 9/18/2010

While the staff is very nice, the service is not. A few weeks ago i went to put my cat down. at 19 years old, she was not eating, could barely walk, and was visibly in a bad state. The Dr. had to perform a check-up and gave me a difficult time, trying to get me to buy medicine and possible surgery options, making it hard on me. Eventually she went to discuss the matter with other doctors, and euthanized her. I payed extra for a check-up i never asked for and other things. Would not recommend at all. more

I brought my 16 year old dog there today to be euthenized. They made it so easy. They are very caring for both the human and the animal.. There prices are good. I've been going there for 5-6 years now, and always had a positive experience. thank u for your compassion.... more

Sad Once, Happy Again 6/23/2010

My mom took her childhood pets to SAH and the care was great. She usually saw the same person, but since then he has passed away. A couple of years ago I had a cat named Midnight. One week he became really sick. My mom brought him in and they had to keep him overnight. They did everything for him but unfortunately, he died. After his death, they sent me a sympathy card, the "Rainbow Bridge" poem with his paw print on it, and the even sent me his collar, that meant a lot. Then I got 2 cats. I have also taken them there. My cat had to have some major surgery. I was young, so they explained it to me and I was fine. Great service. Excellent staff, an all around great experience!!!! more

misinformed, mistreated, heartbroken & totally broke 3/17/2010

Worst possible experience ever. We were not told the true condition of our pet, within 2 days our pet was dead and we had a forced debt of $1,300 . I wrote to the owner and have not received any response (NOTHING). I could give details but since the ground has become thawed and I just barried my beloved friend today, I prefer to hold onto those and hope this owner steps up to deal with those issues. more

dont care for new dr at southwick 10/4/2009

I have been going to southwick for 8 yrs and have always had great vets who offer solutions in a step by step fashion to help my wallet.but there is a new dr.that I feel likes to rack up the bill needlessly.I dont want to but am thinking of switching because I dont want to be ripped off if my pet gets stuck seeing her.Still contemplating my move but if you go there be sure to not see Dr klabar, shes money hungry it seems to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

Great Place 1/21/2008

I have not used Southwick Animal Hospital as my regular vet but had to go there for an emergency. My dog was in crisis and we had to end up putting him down. The staff was great even though we were not regular customers. My dog had to be there for several days and they worked with my regular vet for my pets best interest. I would recommend them for your pets needs. more

Vets Especially Accomodating 1/18/2008

We have brought several of our pets here for years, including a Dwarf Hamster that the owner/Vet usually does not treat, but did take great care to help. Clean, well-staffed . Vets are pleasant and informative. more

We have used the Southwick Animal Hospital for about 8 years. We have not had any bad experiences. The Vets. are especially great. I will continue to bring my dogs here. more

Southwick Animal Hospital 1/17/2008

We recently stopped going to Southwick Animal Hospital due to the cost. They have added on a large addition over the last few years and the prices for services reflect it. The building is a beautiful state of the art building but I paid an outrageous price to have my cat checked out and updated for shots. I would shop around before heading here. more

We have brought many pets to this office over the last 17 years and each time our cats and dogs have received top notch care. The doctors and office staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and sensitive. The addition to their building has only made it even more comfortable. more

Pricey??? 1/15/2008

We've brought the hairiest member of our family here for the last 2 years. The staff is kind and pleasant. I like the Doctors. But I always walk out paying more than I ever expected. The last time it seemed like they were trying to upsell me or something. An optional blood test before a teeth cleaning for just $60 more (to see if she'd have a reaction to the anesthesia?). I love the dog, but this was getting ridiculous. I ended up nixing the optional test and hoping that she'd keep her reactions to a minimum. Thank the Lord-all's well that ends well. Although the final cost was just over $200 anyway...that seems high for a teeth cleaning???? more

We have 2 dogs and always seem to need emergency assistance at the most inconvenient times. The staff at Southwick Animal Hospital always go out of their way to make to make these times as easy as possible. more

Not happy with service 11/16/2007

We took our dogs to Southwick Animal Hospital and at first we really liked them, although we thought they were a little pricey. When our cat had a biopsy, we never heard back so we assumed no news was good news. How wrong we were. They biopsy report had been lost and it took us returning 8 weeks later with the cat worse before they realised their mistake. We were to be refunded our cost for everything because of their error. The check we were given was $40 short of what we had paid. We decided to take our pets elsewhere since this was not the first mistake made by them. It's a shame too because the staff and drs were very nice. more
