DO NOT GO HERE! My dog was dying on the table in front of the doctor and after nearly $500 in testing he could not even guess to a diagnosis or even give us options. He just kept ...

I have been going to this vet office for over 10 years in well I will now be doing my best not to go there. I find them Rotty friendly which is hard to find and when my last Rotty had cancer they where all so nice more then I could have asked for. There pricing while higher then some is worth it. You pay for what you get. However my last emergancy visit was nothing like I had had in the past. My dogs played a little to rough and well my Rotty got her ear torn & needed stitches. I called to find out how much do to I needed to see if I once again needed to borrow my mome credit card & was told it would be $200 to $300. While high for an emergancy room visit expected. While I was there The electricity went out & all I heard was my dog cry & not one tech or the vet came to tell what was going on. I was left in the dark fro over an hr, I called my mom & she had told me to leave however my dog was in the back so I was not leaving. THESE PEOPLE ARE AMAZING 7/18/2008

Dont listen to the people bickering about prices...if you dont want to pay for your animal to get fixed than have it euthanized...as for my CAT....it has the feline version of aids, the doctors and staff were VERY caring about my cat. It was $170 for blood work shots and vitamins. Health care for animals is about equal to health care for humans. THESE PEOPLE CARE AND TREAT EVERYONE FAIR. If you are cheap and dont want to pay $400 for your sick animal may i suggest having gerbils/hampsters instead of a dog....shots alone are going to be over $100....stop getting mad at the VET who fixed your animal...they arent the ones that made it sick....YOU ARE! pay more attention to your animal and the chances of it having problems are greatly reduced. more

Just found my new vet 4/21/2008

After spending nearly $650 and 5 weeks at my previous vet trying to diagnosis what was wrong with my dog and showing up for a scheduled appointment only to be told they were "overbooked" and couldn't see me, I went to see Dr. Silkman at Jordan River Animal Hospital. Their facility looks amazing! Dr. Silkman saw me quickly and within an hour I had a diagnosis and treatment options for about $175. A few days later, my dog was acting great and Dr. Silkman was personally calling to check up and see how he was doing. I send all my friends there now. more

Would not ever go anywhere else 4/11/2008

We have gone to Jordan River Animal Hospital for years and could not be happier. We have had everything done from routine checks to emergency surgery and I can't say enough about Dr. Silkman and Dr. Gillespie. Both of them are world class doctors and have always done the best they can for my pets. I have read other's complaints about it being expensive but I've always found them to be on par with other hospitals I've called. I'm a believer in the motto of "you get what you pay for" too and what I'm paying for is top of the line care. more

Thanks for your help and understanding. 2/7/2006

We brought our dog to them in the middle of the night. She had escaped from the back yard and been run over. Both hips, one knee and the other ankle had been broken. She was a mess. They were understanding and professional during this time of loss. We decided to put her down because her entire quality of life would never have been the same. Thank you all so much for your support!! These folks are the very best!!! You don't feel like you are in an animal hospital at all but rather in a neighborhood vet's office!!! Thank you again! more

The best for after hours emergencies 9/7/2005

Did you know that someone is there 24/7? When you call, you do not speak to an answering service, you are speaking to an actual vet tech right there in the hospital. That is what makes them the best in my opinion. Also, if you do have an after hours emergency it is so nice that someone is already there, you won't have to wait for someone to drive in to meet you, and when your pet is in pain, every second you have to wait feels like an eternity, and here you do not have to wait. When you get there, the tech is ready and waiting on you! I very highly recommend this place, they are caring, nice, sympathetic, and best of all, they are ready! PROS: 24/7 vet tech in the office! We are so grateful for the wonderful doctors and attendants at this vet. Our unlucky dog has had some mishaps and has needed some surgeries... and we have always trusted the doctors, and they have always taken such good care of our little baby! And, they are always there and happily willing to answer all the questions I had, whenever I had them. more
