Good, but pricey and inefficient front desk. 10/23/2012

We have been going there for years. The doctors and staff are wonderful. However, their prices are much too high. In the latest edition of Boston Consumer's Checkbook, out of 31 vets south of Rt. 128, their prices were found to be the highest. NO surprise to me. Trying to get out of the place is ridiculous. The staff is friendly but very, very slow. They do things like answer phone calls instead of waiting on customers trying to check in or out first. Minus one star for much too high prices and one star for the front desk failures. more

Professional and Nice 6/2/2008

I just bought a puppy a few months ago. I went to 2 different vets East Bridgewater and Abington Animal hospital before I went to Hanson. Hanson is AMAZING compared to the two. My shiba has a leg issue that may require surgery at some point and at east Bridgewater they popped her leg out to show me the issue which i was in total disgust with. I then left them and went to Abington, the prices were really good but the staff and the cleanliness of the place disgusted me. The staff is rude and every time I went some animal next to mine had fleas, it turned me off. I now go to Hanson Animal hospital, it is pretty pricey ( i just paid 300 dollars for a blood test for her to get spay and the spay will run me 400 dollars) this price is doubled from most vets. But, what I like is they offer laser surgery and I can take her home that day to watch her. I am pleased with Dr. C and Dr. O. They are amazing and made it pleasurable for me and my shiba pup. I recommend going there they have great staff more

THEY SAVED MY DOG'S LEG! 4/29/2008

My dog had a pretty bad cut that got infected, when I brought her to see another vet they said the only thing they said they could do for her was to amputate her leg so I immediately seeked another opinion. When I went to Hanson they gave her some medicine and TLC and her leg is fine now! more

Wow! A Vet who doesn't overcharge! 3/5/2008

My 3yr old Pom. had a weird bump next to her eye for almost 2 weeks. I brought her to Westbridge Vet (NE Animal Hospital) in West Bridgewater for an appt. They weren't sure what was wrong but suggested surgery--a mere $1,000! Of course I sought a 2nd opinion at Hanson Animal Hospital. I was pleased to find helpful and kind technicians and a wonderful vet (Dr. Oscar) who did everything to make my dog comfortable while they did a simple test to figure out it was an infection! 1/2 hour later and some antibiotics we walked out with a $130 bill--MUCH less than the $1,050 bill Westbridge was expecting! It's been 2 days and the bump is barely visible with antibiotics. I'm transferring my dog to Hanson Animal Hospital for EVERYTHING now! more

Great Hospital 10/31/2007

Since the other person that reviewed brought up Abington Animal Hospital; I felt, I had to comment. Don't believe that Abington is better than Hanson; just because they saw her pet immediately; tells you something. Everyone has left that facility to better places; like Hanson. Hanson Animal Hospital is like (Mass General) as compared to (South Shore Hospital) Abington. They are much more professional, caring and give you a good break; if you have multiple pets that have to be seen. I couldn't recommend them more.\r Abington did surgery on my cat; and left so much much flesh and skin; that she drags it on the floor when she walks and shes only 5 years old. I would never bring my pet there again. more

Hanson animal hospital 7/21/2005

These people were quick and consise to figuring out what was wrong with my pet. They charge decedntly and the animals are in good care. The staff was polite and courteous and there interior is set up to prevent animals negative reactions to each other . HIghly recommend. more

Hanson Animal Hospital is the Best around 7/1/2005

I have been a patron of Hanson Animal Hospital for over 30 years. I have found all of the vets there to be very kind and caring. I especially like the fact that they give multiple pet discounts. PROS: Always williing to answer questions. CONS: A bit on the high price end but worth it. more

wonderful animal hospital 5/30/2005

While Hanson animal hospital may not be the cheapest around they are the BEST around. When my dog had a hurt foot and the other one a sore ear I called my reg. vet and they couldn't see them for over a week. So I called Abington animal hospital and they got me in that day! I have never gone back to the other vet. I have also had to go there for an emergancy and they were greatt Wonderful vets also! more
