VCA Greenback Animal Hospital

Ya, it is easy to get in to VCA Greenback 'cause all they want is your MONEY. Our first experience was a misdiagnosis due to their outdated equipment according to their Doctor. We went to another emergency hospital which diagnosed the problem but couldn't perform the surgery so we returned and PAID for the operation. The puppy continued to have some problems, returned to VCA Greenback. Again, the service was questionable and we felt overpriced. Then, they announced when I asked for the "special food" and the price had increased and announced that more money was owed for a prescription that I had NOT ordered and made it clear to the Vet that I didn't believe in just giving "pills" to my pets for the sake of pills. I have NEVER been allowed to go back see the rest of their facilities or where they perform procedures on my animals. Only the front examine room is where I am left and they take my frightened animal off on their own. My pets are used to being with me and I feel I should be allowed to stay with them to calm them down and take away some of their fear. more

VCA refused to accept their coupon for $30 off since my brother and I share the same last name: he's a client and so are his pets. So I would have been a new referral. When I paid for 1 of the animal's visits, I was magically ineligible for the discount even though my printed coupon had not disclosed any such ridiculous rules. VCA lost my business but I found a place SUNRISE ANIMAL HOSPITAL that is MUCH more affordable for vaccines and office visits. Sunrise was friendly, welcoming and I expect my experience will be much better than VCA's when I take my cat to them tomorrow. Shame on VCA for silly rules and poor customer service. How do they expect to gain business if referred clients are exempt from coupons? Pets and pet owners deserve better care. Glad I found a better place, it's not my loss! more

I brought my dogs in for boarding and bath for 2 weeks over Christmas. They were supposed to be bathed and clean upon pickup. When I picked them up, they had been bathed, but had then been allowed to "play" in a very wet (rainy) yard and were absolutely soaked in other dog's urine that had been picked up from the yard. I was incredibly unhappy with this and was given no kind of response or support or even sympathy from the staff when I brought this to their attention - their response - "you should have picked up the dog earlier in the day"....incredible. I'm never using them again. more

.I TAKE MY DOG TO THIS DAYCARE AND HE HAS BEEN HAPPY-IT CURRENTLY WENT THROUGH A MGMT CHANGE THAT DIDN'T MAKE US TOO HAPPY BUT THE CARE SEEMS TO BE CONSISTENT TO WHAT IT WAS BEFORE THE CHANGE SO FOR NOW IT'S THE BEST PLACE IN TOWN.. Cons: THE HOURS RECENTLY BECAME SHORTER FOR DAY BOARDS WHICH IS LESS THAN CONVIENT BUT LIVABLE. more

For the last several years this is the only place we have boarded our dogs. We board out Lab/Border Collie mix and our Bassett Hound several times a year. When we pick them up they are happy and healthy. Greenback Pet Resort takes good care of them. more

Took my sweet little terrier there for a week while we were out of town, I had them groom her while she was there. She got a cut on her leg- which I know these things can happen during a groom, however, they did nothing for her. THEY DID NOT EVEN TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED!!! When I discovered the cut and called them, they said it was no big deal, but I took her to the vet. The vet said that she should have had stiches!! This was not a good experience at all. more

I will drive over 30 minutes one way to board my pit bull there, they are wonderful! more
