When I adopted my puppy from the Animal Rescue League we were given a free initial visit coupon to Detwiler and since she needed her rabies shot, decided to take her there. Yes, the office visit was free, but I did pay for the shot, flea meds, biohazard fee...which I expected. But I was told that her fecal exam came back negative for parasites and everything was good. This vet is the same one who examined her at the Rescue League and ok'd her for adoption. For her follow up shots, I went to another vet where I was told my puppy has round worms and ear mites. I know that these conditions were present when we brought her home and now not only has my puppy suffered for 2 months , but my other dog got the ear mites and may have contracted the worms as well. Adds to my expense and headache. Thanks for the free substandard exam.
Cons: Worms and ear mites undetected in adopted puppy.
