Nugget Says Goodbye 1/24/2012

We were heartbroken to have to put our dog to sleep on Saturday night because VCA Associates could not diagnose what was wrong with him or give him any comfort. In fact, we received a call today (Monday) from Dr. Stefani, who admitted that their diagnosis of Blastomicosis (based on an X-Ray they had done on Friday and reviewed with another Doctor) was incorrect. She had even ordered the first round of medication from some Pet Pharmacy, but they didn't return our call on Saturday, and our dog was really getting worse (heavy breathing, not eating, could not lay down, and didn't have the strength to walk more than a few feet).\r \r We had taken our beloved Nugget to VCA Associates three times and they could not figure out why he wasn't eating or why he was breathing so hard. He was suffering more-and-more every day and the time they took "guessing" and misdiagnosing what was wrong proved to be fatal. \r \r I would NOT recommend VCA Associates to anyone, unless you want to pay for ZERO RES more

Gus is Wrong 2/19/2011

This is in response to Gus H. First of all, Gus, if you're going to write a review, please learn how to spell. "Because OH her malpractice..."? I assume you meant "of," but you sound like you have absolutely no clue what you're talking about (and you clearly don't), especially when that wasn't your only error. Secondly, you are flat out wrong. Dr. Pollard is FABULOUS - we've been going to her for years and she has always provided the BEST care for our lab. She is very thorough, has a genuine love of animals, and ALWAYS goes above and beyond in her care for our dog. \r \r Don't listen to Gus. Dr. Pollard and the staff at VCA are all amazing, caring people. If Gus cares for his pet in the same way he writes/spells, the issues with his pet were likely HIS fault. more

Wonderful experiences 1/26/2011

I have always had excellent service with VCA and in particular Dr. Kim Centgraf. My husband and I purchased a kitten from a Pet World who developed the kitten flu within 48 hours and fell extremely ill. At the time we did not have the money to spend hundreds of dollars on overnight treatment at the vet. Dr. Centgraf was very understanding and worked with us on what treatment we could afford. Our kitten made a full recovery. Two years later we purchsed a Boxer puppy who later developed severe grain allergies and required a special strict diet and medication. Dr. Centgraf again thoroughly explained everything regarding our dog's condition and worked with us to get her healthy and symptom free. She would even call and check on our dog's progress every couple of days when we began the new diet and medication. I have always found the staff to be friendly and would recommend this vet to anyone. They may perhaps be slightly more expensive ( I have not compared prices) but I do feel as if my more

BAD SERVICE 1/14/2011

Their service stinks.Dr Holly Pollard-Wright didn't treat my dog foot infection correctly, and she is 100% responsible for him loosing one of his toes.Because oh her malpractice I incurred an $800.00 bill with another vet, and luckily he saved my dog's foot. The charge twice as much as any other vet in town, and the office manager, Renee is a very snooty rude person to talk to. I am complaining to the state, and am contemplating a law suit.Oh and the two supervisors thar are of charge of this office don't care what happens to your animal, or the care your animal receives. What ever happened to good customer service? They over 400 offices in the U.S., and home office is in Los Angeles,Ca, in case you want to complain. I'm not kidding. If your pet is sick ,don't go to this place. They don't know their heads from a hole in the wall. STAY AWAY. THEY STINKmore
