VCA Alderwood Animal Hospital of Lynnwood

My wife and I have a 4 year old Aussie that is epileptic. He has been a patient at VCA for over 3 years. In that time period we have had the same Vet, Dr. Karen Kline one of the top Neurologists in Washington state and in the world. The team she works with has been with her for years. The front desk and phone people have always been exceptional and very courteous to us. Very caring for our dog Buddy. I truly take exception to the few negative postings below as they are not fair to the VCA staff. I believe the opposite. We have been coached to take care of our dog at home so that we do not have to run him into emergency every time he seizes or has multiple seizures. We get follow up calls that we do not get charged for. Dr. Kline has been on teaching trips at University's and Europe and has called or emailed us to answer questions or just check in on our dog. Most people who have positive experiences do not do postings, but I would give the highest rating possible to VCA Lynnwood and truly would be lost without them. I own a business and people have to be paid for their services. VCA is up front about services and charges and very professional about everything they do. They are the best. I took my dog into the emergency VCA center and had to already shell out $2,500.00 for her surgery. I had taken her in to get her stitches removed at the Lynnwood clinic, and the vet (who was the head vet) was rough with her, and all she talked about was all these unnecessary treatments she needed and how much they will cost. Not only that, she was trying to insist how grateful I should be for her not charging me for taking out my dog's stitches, and didn't even take them all out. I told her that, and she told me not to worry that they will fall out. A month later, they irritated my dog so much and caused a skin infection. TERRIBLE PLACE! If you don't want your pet handled roughly and overcharged for everything, then do not go here!!! All the other reviews seem to be talking about the emergency hospital and not the clinic on 168th. The clinic on 168th, which is not open 24hrs, and is not an emergency hospital, is TERRIBLE!!! Pros: Nothing Cons: Rude and money hungry more

We were so scared and sad for our sweet dog who was very ill with pneumonia, and the staff were so understanding and helpful. They watched over our two kids while my husband and I said goodbye to our precious dog. They had a special room with comforting books and movies for the kids. I felt like everyone there was completely patient and understanding. It was a very warm and comforting environment . I appreciate them and am so thankful for their above and beyond kindness. I love this place. They answer the silliest questions without making you feel stupid or over protective. I have 3 little girls and 1 of them is always eating something that is not a food source i.e. wires, plastic, more wires ... Urgh. But every time I've called they've been great! Pros: Will answer silly questions Cons: Pricy more
