V V Reid Elementary School

My son started V.V. Reid at the age of 1 ½ he is now in 2 ½ year old Kindergarten and in just a years’ time he knows his alphabets and sounds, he can count to ten in English and Spanish. He knows all shapes, colors and animals. They even help to potty train him. The Director and Teachers for the Toddlers are the best – I thought, until my son got to 2 ½ year old Kindergarten and those teachers are even better. The Accounting staff is always very kind. The Pastor is always looking for parents to give input in order to make V.V. Reid an even better school. This is a very loving and caring environment. Growing up my family could not afford a private education for me but I count it a blessing to be able to send my son to V. V. Reid. The have helped him be ahead of the class – Read today and Lead tomorrow is the perfect motto. more

This school is money orientated. I'm a Soldier in the Army that was scheduled to deploy on December 28th. I went and registered my kids at V.V Reid since, they had attended years prior. I was informed that I couldn't deploy a week after I had paid the registration fee but the school was on Christmas break until the 4 Jan so, the only day I had to inform them was on that day. My children never attended the school never received any books or services therefore I asked for reimbursement of the $ 543 no questions asked. They informed me that they had to go through the pastor for reimbursment. A week and a half had past and I never recieved feedback from the school. I then called and they informed me that they were not going to reimburse me the $ 543. This behavior is unethical especially of a church. They basically wanted free money. I'm a Soldier in the United States Army and this behavior displayed by them to myself is unacceptable especially for what we do for our citizens and puting our lives a risk on a daily basis. We just can't afford to give half a thousand dollars just like that. more

VV Reid Elementary School is conveniently located to downtown Columbia. They have an amazing staff that will surround your child with love. They start accepting young ones at three years old and they continue until the fifth grade. Your three year old will know how to spell and write their name, colors and shapes. Imagine what the four year olds learn. There's a steady curriculum for Physical Education, computer skills and Spanish.This is by far the best school that I have come across that is Christian based. If you are searching for a place for your young one. Reading this post should end your search. I am serious, you will see results immediately. I know that we did. more
