I PATRONIZED THIS SALON ON JUNE 6, 2011. THE LADY WHO DID MY MANICURE ASKED IF I WANTED PARAFIN FOR MY HANDS & I SAID YES. I REMOVED 4 RINGS & PLACED THEM AT HER WORK STATION (FOOLISH). AFTER MY MANI THE LADY GRABED MY BAG & DRINK & LEAD ME TO HAVE MY NAILS DRIED. WHEN I WAS DONE I STEPPED OUT THE FRONT DOOR TO GO TO THE CAFE ACROSS THE STREET BUT IT WAS CLOSED. SO I WALKED THROUGH THE SALON & NOTICED THE LADY WHO SERVICED ME SITTING AT HER WORK STATION & SMILING AT ME. I WENT HOME & LATER THAT DAY I REALIZED I WAS MISSING MY RINGS & I COULDNT RECALL WHERE I HAD LEFT THEM. 2 DAYS LATER I REMEMBERED. I RETURNED TO THE SALON ONLY TO HAVE THE LADY WHO SERVICED ME DENY THAT SHE HAD MY RINGS & STATE I HAD PUT THEM IN MY PANTS POCKET. ONLY PROBLEM WAS THE PANTS I WORE THAT DAY DIDNT HAVE POCKETS. SAD TWO OF THE RINGS WERE GIVEN TOME BY MY DECEASED MOM. I FEEL SO FOOLISH AND ANGRY. BE WARE IF YOU GO TO THIS SALON. YOU CANNOT LET YOUR GUARD DOWN. THERE IS A THIEF & LIAR AMONG YOU. P.S. I CALLED THE SALON & ASKED TO SPEAK WITH OWNER BUT SPOKE WITH THE MANAGER WHO WAS USELESS............... more

I get my nails done here. Love the atmosphere and the job they do is phenomenal - and nail salon prices not spa prices. Haven't had such a great mani/pedi in ages. Can't wait to try other services. more

$45 for a pedicure and they did not cut or file me nails just washed and painted horrible a 5 yr old would of done a better job Pros: none Cons: eveything more

I went here for a brazilian bikini wax and it was a mistake. From the look of the place, which is very nicely decorated, it seemed like a good bet. Plus, I called and asked them if their technicians had a lot of experience with brazilians, and they assured me that they did. I found that that was not the case. I doubt that the woman who did my wax had done a brazilian before. It took forever and was not well done. Plus, it was totally unsanitary; she brushed my entire pubic area with a powder brush- who knows how many people that thing has been used on before?! She double-dipped the waxing stick (my personal gross-out after going to Shobha, where they don't double-dip; highly recommended, by the way), didn't wear gloves, and just seemed all around inexperienced and unconcerned with hygiene. Maybe this place is okay for nails, but definitely avoid for waxes. more

Not sure what that negative reviewer is saying. How do they have great customer service and not great everything else? They dont lie when they have been in magazines and have awards. You see the awards that the staff won, the spa won, and all the literature on it. One review said that the reviewer got the best massage she ever had. They even had to spread it out since they have so many. The prices cant be beat especially for being in a place like Garden City and not in a regular shopping mall. The ambiance starts with the town. I mean big streets, big houses, fine dining everywhere and there is an enormous parking lot in the back. V Spa is great. Exactly how I used to get it in the city. I think its because the owner is a young fashion guy whose been doing this his whole life. Ask for David because he helped me plan a bridal party for me. He emailed me everything to send to my friends, they made it into a lounge for me, turned on movies, had events for me, let us stay late, helped pick a great place to eat nearby, i mean everything. Even more, it cost us a lot less than other places that are not half as nice. This place is extremely high tech with a great staff and the ambiance/design is simple but extremely soothing. All of my girlfriends are planning to go back since where else is there a amazing $25 mani & pedi (i think its a special right now) in a place thats immaculate and looks this good. I had a bad experience, even when i went for a wax, the lady didn't even wash her hands after she did someone's manicure, I am glad that people get to enjoy movies, and have a party at the salon, however I am looking for quality not a party. more

First and foremost, this place looks amazing. When the place is that nice, I thought I would have to pay a lot but it wasn't the case. The price is the best in Garden City and probably in Long Island even though you get tons and tons of service. My boyfriend got me a gift package for my birthday that had facial, massage, manicure, pedicure, hair. Instead I got a massage and a cut/highlights. I was so happy with the haircut and highlights that I got. I was so relaxed after and left feeling beautiful. more

I live just a few blocks from Franklin Ave, and when I saw signs for the grand opening I decided to stop in. When I first entered I was surprised how modern the look and equipment was, and I found the staff friendly and easy to talk to. I got a manicure, and was very pleased with the service. When I came back for a pedicure I checked the reviews here, and took the advice of the prior reviewer and tried the Green Tea Pedicure, which was simply fantastic. Finally, a beautiful place close to home. Enjoy! more

I found this place while driving down Franklin Ave to work. Its in a convenient location with an enormous parking lot. It is a full service salon and spa with hair, nails, massage, and skincare. I went in and got a Green tea pedicure and manicure and a facial. It was fantastic. They let you shower if you wanted after or you could get a vichy shower. No rush. It is definately warm and beautiful inside with cream walls and light wood floors. Definately a place that you might find in Manhatten in Long Island with LI prices.
