I do not believe Uzu deserves the bashing of the last post. I too have gone to Uzu probably 2 -3 dozen times in the last few years. True, the old owners were great and we were very friendly with them, but they moved on. There was a learning curve with the new owner, and they have come a long way in the few months since the change. It is still 1 of only 2 places worth eating sushi in the neighborhood. The atmosphere is pleasant, the food is still good (still a more affordable option than many over priced places), and the quality has greatly improved in the last few months. Don't be swayed by a negative review. Its a good spot w good sushi that is byo. Don't forget a bottle of wine, beer, sake....or all three.
Pros: Good food, attentive service, reasonable prices
Cons: Small space, somewhat stuffy in summer
