The only explanation for a person being rude to their customers (and I am not talking about only me) day after day, and month after month is that they get something from it. I am a psychologist and am deeply disturbed by this particular office's unwillingness to have an adequate number of personnel at the counter and workers who are nice to their customers. I am against overgeneralizations, but there are two women there that are ALWAYS nasty to people. I have never seen these two women act nice to others there. They act like they are evil postal dictators that make up rules on the cuff and interpret clear USPS rules in a way that makes their lives easier. One charged me more than $8 for a flat rate $4.95 package until I asked her why. She didnt see the large bold lettering that said ""Flat Rate"" written all over it. They act like we bother them by being there. I have been told 3 different times to mail my items at other post offices because these women did not want to mail my flat rate packages because they were not ""flat"" physically. That is just ridiculous. THey will not listen to their own superiors, and USPS has done nothing to correct these womens actions despite a dozen complaints by me alone. Another woman came in the post office while my wife was in line (27 minutes long), and asked the mean woman why she was so rude to her son earlier when he came in. The postal lady just laughed at her and denied it in a rude way. I hope these women change their ways soon or enough people will complain and they will get fired. Oops. I forgot. THey are all union and make $60,000 a year being rude and losing money. No wonder the USPS is going under so fast. They need a real leader in the USPS to make sure this kind of stuff stops.
