I don't know how they always manage to find the most unhappy, surly people to wait behind the counter. Whatever mood I'm in when I enter, I always come out in a bad mood. They have no concept of customer service. They answer questions in a snide tone and have no sense of managing the line (my one letter would have taken a couple of minutes; I was forced aside and had to wait for a man with four packages that took 5-10 minutes). They clearly think that they are smarter and better than the customers, despite the fact that they're... well, surly USPS workers.
Go to a post office with a computerized teller. I don't always approve of computerized do-it-yourself tellers in place of people, but if there was ever a place that needed it, it's here. At least the computer tellers are fast, responsive, and always in a good mood.
