Great place to watch a ball game 4/18/2011

Went to see Sox/Angels game. Had a great time. This ball park is clean and full of real baseball fans. I even met a Cub fan that not only enjoyed the game but loved the park. He could not believe that no matter where you sit you can see all the action. I grew up 2 blocks from Wrigley Field more

Go to Wrigley! 8/22/2008

This field is trash! i went here, and then vommited. The smell is terrible, i see r ,ats on the field during the game... Wait thats Ozzie Guillen! He is soo ugly and makes the stadium look worse, which it is already bad enough... But the sox are terrible, and i want my money back, i complained to Kenny Williams (the GM) personally. He told me to shut the **** up, i then cried, and on top of that i still had to watch the game. Do not take family/friends the fans get extremly.. well, horny during the game. They should sign Richie Sexson.. This field smells also like connies pizza, which i hate! Do not go there either! Cons: Fat chicks more

Go Go White Sox!!! 4/9/2008

Quite possibly one of the most modern ballparks in the US. I remember when the park was first built in the early 1990s to replace old Comiskey Park. Ironically, this IS and STILL Comiskey Park to me (stupid corporate sponsoring renamed and recolored the park from blue to black). Compared to Wrigley, this is considered to be the ballpark for the "New Generation", equipped with digital scoreboard, lights, and fireworks. It's easier to get to as well either via Red or Green Lines to 35th or finding on-site parking in their lots. The food is so much better than the North Side counterpart, and the history of the park and the 2005 Would Series Champions White Sox is displayed all over the park. On hot summer days, they provided a 'sprinkler room" to help cool you down from the hot sun. this is indeed the park for the "new Generation" of Chicago baseball fans and will probably be around well past Wrigley's time. GO GO WHITE SOX!!! Pros: On-site parking lots, Access to both Red and Green Line trains, plenty of concession stands, modern feel to ballpark than North Side counterpart Cons: should still be considered Comiskey Park more

outstanding! 7/12/2004

its a great place to be around real fans.great atmosphere and great food!its better than the dump on the north side.highly recommended! Pros: food, spacious, easy access more

Great Fan Experience 6/6/2004

The park has evolved quite a bit since it was built. The recent additions continue to add to the fan experience by offering better views of the game, more concessions and an improved scoreboard (I wish they would show more replays). The park is much safer than people tend to beleive and has convienient parking and el access. Pros: Views, Scoreboard, Great fans more

Fun at the Ol' Ballpark! 4/19/2004

With another renovation phase complete, this park is even more enjoyable. Always a great place to watch a game with great fans. The drive to and parking is very accessible, tasty concessions, and perfect for a Father and son to spend a good time together. Pros: Parking, Food, Seats more

Not bad for the southside 1/17/2004

I've been to 26 MLB stadiums and Comisky is average. The food and beer are good. The seats, not so good. I sat in the 500 level for the homerun derby and almost lost my balance after a few beverages. more

Great ballpark 8/8/2003

The park is unbelievably underrated. It's a great place to watch a game. Any seat in the lower deck is terrific. Some seats in the upper deck are good too. Unlike at Wrigley, fans here really care about the game and their team. The concessions are top rate. Exploding scoreboard and fireworks are lots of fun. Organist Nancy Faust is a legend. Access is very easy by el or by car. Unlike Wrigley, a great place to bring the kids. Pros: Great seats, Easy access, good food Cons: upper, upper deck more

Not as bad as is believed 7/12/2003

This park is way underrated, especially after the renovations which have made it feel much more intimate. Sure it doesn't have old-world charm, but it is a great place to watch a game, when there are more than 25,000 the stadium rocks! The food is great and there is so much to do. Pros: L access, concessions, Great fans Cons: empty seats more

great ballpark 4/28/2003

i was unbelievably surprised. wrigley is great for tradition, but the sox park is very underrated. love the hecklers, food, and the sox uniforms, are very snazzy. this is a definite must see when in chicago...i would rather go here than wrigley...sorry Pros: great seats, great fans, great scoreboard more

One classic ballpark 4/26/2003

I usually head over to Wrigley whenever I'm in Chicago but last season I took in the final game of the Sox and had a blast. I found the new Comiskey to be a beautiful park with great seats, good food and good fans who know the game. I usually go to 10-15 games a year at different ballparks and plan on Comiskey being one of those trips from now on. Pros: easy to reach on CTA, good ticket prices Cons: not alot of fans show more

The Cell 2/9/2003

Im a big fan of the White Sox, but not overly happy about the stadium. Not because I dont like it, because they screwed up. Instead of facing Chicago'd beautiful skyline, you see the projects. Seating is comftorable but the Upper Deck is quite a haul to climb. Their aren't many seats that disrupt your vision, but the very corner, in the UD is rough on the eyes. Seats are comftorable, and the food is very good. Homes near Comiskey are very nice now and the area is starting to un ghetto tize. Pros: Food, THE TEAM, Fans that show up Cons: Bad Upper Deck, Bad Colors more

Where Else 2/5/2003

Where else would you rather spend your time than at the old ballpark. Comiskey is a beautiful modern stadium with a team that actually finishes 1st or second every year. Additionally, you could actually drive your car there and park. If you ask someone in the stadium the score of the game they may actually know it. The sound system is decent and the best player in the stadium is Nacy Faust playing the latest jingles on the Hamond organ. This is a great place to bring the kids and a great place to actually watch baseball. If ya don't like the upper deck, quit bitching and buy a lower level seat. You could afford if you didn't waste your time and money at Wrigley. Pros: Fireworks on Sat, Great Food, Nancy Faust Cons: Not enough day games, parking is expensive more

Bring the Kids 12/5/2002

If you were to bring a kid to Comiskey and then bring them to Wrigley, the Kid would say they had a lot more fun at Comiskey. The WHite Sox, just about every year have a better team then the lovable loser Cubs. Sundays only $1 for kids and they get to the bases too. Batting cages, pitching clinics and a resturant just for kids. And the kids don't have to throw a HR ball back on the field like the vineyard. A kid could walk around the park safely. Great modern day scoreboard. Best Food. Mondays and Tuesdays Half Price games. Plenty of parking of only $13 ( Vineyard $25++) Cons: Nothing after the ga more

gotta see to believe! 8/26/2002

At first I was afraid to go because of the large crouds. When we got there it was a nice location and good seats. Frank went deep and Maggs had a great night. Will come back next time I'm in town... Pros: food, game, beeeer more

Baseball in comfort 7/26/2002

Comiskey is a great place to lay back and watch a game of baseball. Personally, I like it better than Wrigley where you are crammed into seats with no leg room and then end up behind a poll! All the seats in Comiskey offer great views! more

Not great, but getting better 6/17/2002

Comiskey Park is getting better with each phase of renovations. After the third and final phase, Comiskey will be up to par as some of the retro stadiums. Go Sox! more

Blah stadium, but still fun 6/12/2002

There's something Disneyland-ish about this ballpark--it just looks sort of anticeptic and plastic. But once you're settled in, it's a great place to watch a game. The sightlines are good (probably because you feel like you're right on top of the field) and the tickets are nicely priced. Clean bathrooms and a variety of concessions make it quite comfortable. I'll definitely go back. Pros: Good sightlines, Easy access by El Cons: Sterile looking more

South side chick 6/3/2002

I have always loved the old and now new Comisky Park. The seats are at a extremely high angle, but for me it's fun to down from the top! more

Comiskey vs. Wrigley 5/20/2002

Let's compare it to Wrigley. The tickets are cheaper here. Great day-of-game tickets are available. They actually have 'waiters' at Comiskey, and the home team usually wins. There is still a bigger place in my heart for the Cubbies -- but recently I begun to warm up more to the Sox for the reasons above. Pros: great day-of tickets, solid team Cons: it is mall-like more
