Do Not Under Any Circumstances use this Veternarian 7/9/2010

Do Not under any circumstances use this Veterinary, They over charge on everything. I asked what they would charge for heartworm medicine and then looked online. The price difference is unbelievable. You will notice that there are other reviews on here that talk about them bascially being all about your money. It's true. Their waiting room is self evident of that. I spoke with the assistant regarding the overall health of my dog which I stated was good overall. The vet then came in the room and stated, "" I understand that you think your dog is perfect."" Never will I use them as my veterinary and I am taking it upon myself to tell everyone I know not to take their animals there. However, if you want to be overcharged on products and services and be treated like crap, then this is the place for you. Pros: Can't think of any Cons: Overpriced and Rude People more

Good location, somewhat high prices 4/4/2009

We have two dogs and have been bringing them to Urban Vet Care for a year and a half. We like going there because it's close to home, and we appreciate the new, clean facility they have. The staff is helpful and friendly, and they never complain when our older dog puts up a fight on almost every procedure.\r \r One concern I have is that their prices seem to be quite a bit higher than the vet we used when we lived on the other side of Denver. Everything seems more expensive, from procedures to exams to medications, and I feel like I'm paying much more than I should. more

wonderful people 8/28/2008

We took our 2 cats to Dr. Larson and she was great, very friendly and helpful with all of our questions. We couldn't get our one cat to take one of the tests so she volunteered to keep him a few hours until it worked out. We were running late to pick him up and they were great about it, they even stayed late to answer some more questions we had. They didn't try to sell us anything that we didn't really need, she made suggestions for things we could/should do in the future but there was no pressure at all. I thought the prices were reasonable for the services we received. They called us back to follow up on everything they said they would, they even helped me find a cheaper new food than the one they had in stock, to help with one of the cats issues. Over all I would recommend this vet to anyone. They were great! We'll be back. more

I had a bad experience, but the Dr/Owner did Rectify the problem 6/11/2008

***UPDATE*** Pros: its downtown Cons: its overpriced more

Friendly and knowledgeable staff 5/31/2008

I took my new dog here for a new puppy check up from the Denver Dumb Friends League. I had many questions and concerns , the staff took time with me I did not feel rushed. At least 30 minutes into the visit I knew about Heartworms and what vaccines I would need to follow up with. My puppy reeally seemd to like everyone there also and thats whats counts!!! It was hard to get a parking spot near by the day I went, but who knows if that is normal. Pros: Everyone is very nice and educated Cons: Parking lot is small more

DO NOT USE THIS VET! 3/22/2008

We brought our dog in for some simple testing for a bladder infection and refills on some prescriptions when we moved into town and was not impressed with the service at all. We never recieved the test results for the bladder infection after we paid them $200. They also kept trying to upsell us on additional tests, xrays etc. when there was nothing wrong with our dog. I would avoid going to this Vet unless you like poor service and high pressure sales people! Pros: Location Cons: Poor service, High pressure upsell on service, Horrible Follow up. more

Responsive Service & Great Care! 2/20/2008

We recently adopted a cat from the Dumb Friends League and needed to find her a veterinarian for care. A friend of mine that I work with recommended this office, as her two cats are patients. I didn't quite know what to expect, but I definitey trusted my co-worker to make a solid referral. She was definitely right! UVC is located in the highlands area off of Speer and 29th Street on the first floor of a lofty-looking building. The office isn't that big, but functional. Our doctor is Dr. Larson, and was really great with our cat. Bridget at the front office was also a pleasure to work with. We've only had an initial visit, and we have another appointment today for some vaccinations, but I definitely get a good vibe from this place. KJ at the front desk is also very helpful anytime I call. There isn't a lot of parking in front of the office (like 4 or 5 spots?), but we had an appointment on Saturday morning, so I'm guessing they were busy. I would recommend UVC if you live in the area and need a caring office to bring your pet for care! Pros: Great customer service, responsive and caring staff! Cons: Not a lot of parking in the front of the building. Office hours could be longer, but its not a deal breaker. more
