Shawn Knows Hair!!! 11/10/2010

For years I have been known to drive from Atlanta to Nashville for a good haircut and FINALLY I found Shawn at Urban Style Salon! Shawn has a very special talent for cutting hair. He stays current with what is happening in the hair business and is constantly learning to keep his clients looking their best. People are always stopping to ask me who does my hair and that is a great compliment!! You will not regret giving him a try!! more

shawn is the best EVER!!! 11/5/2010

Shawn has been a dear friend and hairstylist for 6 years now. I don't trust just anyone with these lovely locks, but he won me over. due to my european heritage, i have unruly, thick, frizzy hair and he works his magic everytime! I have never been more pleased, or impressed with the BEAUTIFUL color of Goldwell that he uses on me. not only is it shiny for weeks, it is truly healthy, the richest, most vibrant color ever, and the compliments i get are unbelievable! i just smile and refer him proudly. i also have learned so much because he educates me every step of the way. so glad he is now working with christopher-the salon is beautiful and so serene. please give shawn a chance, it will be one of the best decisions you have ever made! he is truly a master of his craft! more

Hairstylist for the chic! 11/4/2010

I have trusted my hair (and secrets) to Christopher Northington for about 8 years now. He has become a dear friend of mine and I am so proud of his new salon Urban Style, located in downtown Homewood, AL. Ever since Christopher has been coloring and cutting my hair, I have been ""that girl"" who everyone wants to know who does your hair. An appointment with him is like meeting a friend to hangout for a while, except you leave looking better than you arrived! He is an expert colorist and knows what will work for you and what will not. Several of my friends and co-workers are now loyal clients of his. He achieves a balance of professionalism and friendliness that will keep you coming back. Christopher has transformed Urban Style Salon into a chic and inviting space that you can truly relax and feel at ease in. It is evident your comfort and experience are a priority to him. I would recommend Christopher Northington to anyone looking for a new stylist or to anyone looking for a new look. He keeps up with hair trends as well as fresh takes on classic hairstyles. I would not trust my hair to anyone else. more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Christopher Northington. He has been cutting and coloring my hair for almost 4 years now. I feel like he has become a close friend of mine over that time. I always look forward to my appointments with him. He does a wonderful job and I trust him 100% with my hair. He always seems to know what will look best! more

Christopher Northington has been my stylist for more than 5 years. In that time, I can honestly say that every visit has been such a great experience. This is because Christopher is the utmost professional with the highest standards and the greatest attention to detail. What's even better is that because I trust his ability and opinion about my hair so implicitly, I can just relax during my appointment and enjoy the conversation. A visit to Christopher was like visiting a friend, even when I first started going to him. He has the rare combination of being both a perfectionist and being warm and friendly. more

The Search is Over! 10/27/2010

My stylist of almost 5 years has recently moved out of the state. Any of you women can relate to my distress! I read many reviews over the past few weeks (my hair was almost 3 weeks over grown at this point) and finally decided to check out Shawn at Urban Style. I read many reviews about him while he was with Blonde Salon and made the call. The experience was phenomenal, he listened to my concerns of changing salons, as well as about my hair, he was very patient with me and made me feel comfortable. The color is amazing, it's like i haven't skipped a beat, the Awaphui *spelling? treatment has given my hair a new life. It's shiny again and the cut was exactly what we talked about. I am very happy to have found my new stylist with out any bad experiences in between!!! The salon is very boutique, well designed, and feels like you're at home as soon as you enter. The staff were all friendly and I will definitely recommend Shawn to my friends. more

Fabulous Salon and Owner 10/27/2010

I've been going to Christopher for several years and was so excited when he opened Urban Style in Homewood. The salon is absolutely amazing with such a peaceful atmosphere. It's beautifully decorated and so inviting! It is like my own personal escape from my day. I just love it! I always look forward to going there and seeing Christopher to get my hair done. He does a fantastic job and I always get compliments on my color and style! Even weeks after my visit I'm still getting compliments on the color. He knows exactly what you need for your hair and he really listens to what you want. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair! more
