When I lived in Los Angeles I spent a LOT of time at ULY and loved every minute of my practice there. I truly encountered the best teachers I have yet to come across (and I have tried a lot of studios in NY, Madison, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and of course Los Angeles!) and progressed in my practice to amazing extents. At ULY yoga is *also* a great workout but an even better way to understand and appreciate your body, your mind and maybe even more... I love the attention to detail at ULY and the deep knowledge of anatomy that ensures you have a safe, healing practice! more

Simply perfect! 3/31/2011

I will keep it short and sweet! I love everything about ULY! Elinor is so sweet and kind, the teachers are top notch, the studio is simply gorgeous. So much attention to details, so intimate, you feel welcome from the very start. And there are classes for just about everyone! Elinor is truly a pixie of kindness and joy. I am truly happy that I found this studio. Other places in the Valley should take it as an example - I feel that I belong here, that I am part of the Yoga community, and I feel inspired by the teachers, who will safely guide me to improve my practice. It was love at first sight!! more

Finally a yoga studio that gets it! We are not all well to do glitteratti. A premium yoga studio with specials that make it affordable. \r \r This month alone they are offering a five class recession-ite package for the mornings ($40), a five class afternoon package ($37.50), two free kids classes and you can bring a friend for free to one class.\r \r Thank you Elinore for an exciting new place to practice yoga! Low Stress Back Relief 2/17/2010

Excellent yoga school just opened with plenty of free parking and classes for all levels of expertise. I tried the therapeutic class, I have serious lower back problems and my doctor recommended yoga, the second week they were open and it was wonderful. My back is already looser and I am experiencing less pain. Pros: It works for me! more

Yoga for Me?! 2/17/2010

Well, tennis and racquetball destroyed my knees and I needed to try something before I became a couch potato. I have started out in the Level 1 classes three times a week. So far so good: I work up a sweat while I stretch and push my muscles. I was surprised at the effort needed to go through the positions slowly. I still feel like a clumsy hippo, I fall over a lot, but I feel better and hope to get rid of my potbelly. Pros: Place to keep fit more

Finally prenatal yoga close to my house: Urban Lily Yoga just opened their doors, Sybil & Elinore are just wonderful; I recommend them highly. Not the Invistble Man 2/15/2010

As a guy in yoga you some times feel like a fish out of water. Worse yet you can be invisible. Not at Urban Lily. Here I hardly got the door open before the person behind the counter greeted me with a bright smile, helped me sign up for classes and made sure I had a large format schedule in hand before I took my Core Fusion class.
