The BEST Car-related experience I've ever had! 9/9/2006

Usually, when I take my car somewhere to be fixed/looked at/have the oil changed, I leave feeling confused, ripped-off and broke. But not at Uptown Imports! I took my car in for a problem I had been ignoring for too long, fearing the worst. The guys were SO friendly and explained exactly what they were going to do--they even showed me diagrams of the car and all the parts to make sure I understood what was wrong with my car. The problem I'd been ignoring and worrying about for a long time was fixed in just a few hours!! I also paid a little less than the estimate! The price was more than fair and no one tried to sell me more service than I needed. Pros: Friendly staff that knows what they're doing! Cons: Nothing at all more

Uptown Imports is great! 8/31/2006

I had some major problems with my VW GTI and had taken it to a previous mechanic to fix and, after spending hundreds of dollars they, were unable to find the root of the problem. I brought my car in to the VW dealer and they gave me a diagnosis and a very high quote to fix the problem. I needed a third opinion and brought my car to Uptown Imports and not only did they give me a proper diagnosis but they fixed the problem in a timely manor and reasonable cost. They took the time to explain the problem to me and stuck around after hours to accomidate my schedule. Pros: Great service. Great quality of work. Cons: None. more

Knowledgeable and in-depth repair. 8/18/2006

I have had a lot of trouble finding anyone that knew how to repair my 95' BMW 3-series. I found these guys through this website and decided to take a chance. They did an incredible job, charged very reasonable rates, and did'nt try and do any unneeded work. These guys are great and I highly reccommend them to anyone looking for expert service. more

Unparallel Customer Service 7/27/2006

Since I have a very old Toyota, I had previously been weary of mechanics. With over 200,000 miles on a car, there's a lot that could 'need replacing.' However, I will never feel that way again. I couldn't imagine switching to another mechanic. John spent a lot of time both on the phone and in the shop explaining what was wrong with my car (at the time I had massive oil leaks). He showed me the parts he took out of my car, and it was clear just how damaged they were. Besides the car running great after picking it up, it was cleaner ... inside and out! Quality Shop 6/21/2006

Had a major recurring problem with the idle level on my 1989 saab 900. The car had been in and out of a number of shops with hoses etc. replaced, but never a real solution. John and crew looked my car over carefully and identified a number of issues that nobody else had found--like frayed wiring going to key parts. When I came to pick up the car, John took me back in the shop and explained what they were doing. Everybody was patient and I felt comfortable and well-informed. The price of labor was very reasonable and my invoice was nicely itemized so I have a record of what I actually paid for. Uptown Imports is a gem of a shop with a real commitment to its customers. Uptown Import's customer satisfaction with reliable service has been bar none in comparison to any other auto repair shop that Ive ever had to take my car to All the staff are honest, reliable, and most importantly not throwing parts at my car making me think that it make my car run better I now know what my car needs when it needs it and when and how much I'll have to spend to keep my car in top working order. Best auto repair in Minneapolis 5/8/2006

I've been using Uptown Auto for over 10 years, they provide great service, quality repairs, and all the staff is friendly. They seem to solve difficult problems and have always been fair.
