Up In Smoke

I am a writer for a nationally syndicated magazine. I am researching an article on marijuana. The sign said ?Up in Smoke? so I went in. The first thing I noticed was the South Carolina Department of Revenue license clearly displayed on the wall. The place is small but very comfortable. I have been in many head shops across the country and this one of the nicest I?ve been in. The counter showcase is evenly divided between piercing jewelry and smoking accessories. I felt very comfortable even though I am 70 and the other customers were in their 20?s and 30?s. I was greeted by a middle aged lady with a smile and a soft demeanor. I asked to look at several items in the showcase. The quality was superior to those I had seen elsewhere. After I disclosed my mission as a writer I met Todd. He was busy putting piercing jewelry on display but stopped to talk with me. We discussed the politics, laws and issues on marijuana. He was one of the most educated and knowledgeable people on the subject of cannabis I have met. As I left he was quietly speaking to a client about piercing. Although I?m not into piercing, this is a place I would recommend because it?s cleanliness and Todd?s knowledge, professionalism and peaceful demeanor?and if you?re looking for a gift for a smoker friend, this is where you will find the quality stuff. more

I went to Up in Smoke just over a week ago to get my lip pierced. Todd was so friendly, and courteous. He asked me if I had any questions before, and after piercing me. I got exactly what I wanted , and it looks fantastic! I would recommend Todd at Up in Smoke to any one looking to get a great piercing! i've always been a biiiiig whatever3 person. thats where i went to get my lip, tounge, and belly button pierced. so when my bestfriend suggested we go to up in smoke ,where she got her tounge done, when i wanted to get a horozontal eyebrow piercing i was kind of hesitant. i'd never been anywhere else but i agreed to go. Whoa!! I have several piercings and have been to quite a few piercing parlors, but this place is hands down better than any other I have been in. I had heard from friends that if I went to Up in Smoke I wouldn't ever go anywhere else, and my friends were right. The piercer was what really got my attention. Todd took his time with me and answered all my questions. I didn't feel like I was a bother to ask questions(Like I did in most parlors)even though other people were waiting. They have a nice selection, stuff I had never seen before and they were happy to let me order exactly the jewelry I wanted since the jewels and setting I wanted on my belly button ring was not common.
