I took one class at UNO in New Orleans and it was a good experience. It was easy to cross enroll and also to get advisement from the staff. I used their library on occassion and it was remarkable compared to other university's in the city. The staff was most helpful because they would go out ot their way to help you find what you were looking for. more

Good university......... 4/29/2005

University of New Orleans is a four year college. The campus is huge with over 16,000 students. The standards are high. Classes in freshman and sophomore year are large with sometimes over 100 students in class. Junior and senior years and beyond have smaller classes. Personally I wasn't thrilled with my experience at UNO because the classes were so big the profesor never knew who you were unless you sat in the front row and there was no guarantee even then he/she would remember you. In addition classes were usually across entire sections of campus. So even in rain sleet or snow you had to travel back and forth in 10 minutes to each class. Sometimes this was difficult. A few people were even struck by lightning on the way to class during a storm. PROS: standards CONS: too large, students are just numbers more
