University of Alabama the

I graduated in 2004 from UA. It was the best college experience of my life (as I am not quite through with higher education). The campus is beautiful, the football legendary, and Tuscaloosa is a great little city. Truly the finest university in the state, and one of the top 50 in the nation. It is easy to become involved on campus, and easy to stay informed. Most students live on or near campus, and you can make a lot of lifelong friends. Like a lot of large campuses, parking is terrible and a real problem if you don't live within walking distance. Most of the dorms are not exceptional, but I lived in one for 3 years and survived. It makes making friends really easy, and great for study groups. I honestly can't say enough great things about UA. more

I recieved a BS from the UA in 2003 and I must say I loved every minute of my time there. The building are mostly well kept up, there are of course a few exceptions, but they are constantly remodeling to try and upgrade the facilities. There is also so much history and tradition here. The football is first class, and the schools are highly ranked. The law school and nursing school are always getting national attention for their high quality. more

If I don't get my books at the Supe Store then I always get them here. They have the friendliest people of any store of any kind in town. You pick out your books and that way you're sure to get the copy that is in the best condition. They usually have the books I need for my classes but occassionaly they have run out of copies and I had to get them at the Supe store. They have tons of souveniers for sale also. If it has UA of Alabama written on it then they probably sell it. They even have a little Alabam fan wedding cake topper in their window. more

This is one of the top ranked universities in the nation. The football is great and most of the teachers are good too. My classes keep me challenged but not to the point where I spend every second of my free time doing homework or research. The advisors and administrators dont like to tell you some things though...the sort of things that are important. And like every other university they try to drain you of every cent you have before they let you graduate. more
