University Hills Conoco

My engine light turned on last week on my 11 year old Subaru. I'm done taking my car to dealers that try to convince me I need to spend thousands of dollars every time something goes wrong. A friend of mine recommended this Conoco station and all I can say is WOW! They checked the computer, drove my car around, cleared the light, and said it was a typical problem in an older Subaru. They explained what happened, told me it would happen again, but my car was in good shape and then didn't charge me. I've found the guys who can keep my car going. Hooray! more

I have used them for 3 years. They always tell you the cost before they do anything, which I like a lot. Some repairs have been bargains, some have been more expensive than expected, but overall fair pricing. It can take a few days for parts, but I have a 20 year old car. The old guys working there are great - they take time to give you advice on keeping your car running well. The young guys are ok too. more

Finally, I have found a mechanic shop that I can trust. I recently left my car for another mechanic to look at and he gave me an estimate for work that he thought needed to be done but at the same time he indicated that another problem existed that wasn't a problem before I had left it there. So I decided to go to University Hills because a friend who has used them for years referred them. Well, not only did they check out the prior problem but they also diagnosed what the mysteriously new problem there was. The first repair was a tune up with bad wires but the second brake problem was more difficult to the point it took twice as long as they had estimated to get it done to ""their"" satisfaction... Great work !!! Car has never run better and the brakes work better than ever. more

I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. Extremely fair pricing, honest about everything, very straightforward explanations of what needs to happen and they never try to sell you anything you don't need. Once I even took it in for a quick repair with a part they had lying around and he said no charge. The very best auto mechanic in Denver, hands down. more

I had these mechanics recommended by a friend who has been going here for years - I am going to try to change his mind. I needed a starter replaced on my car and the price I paid was a little high, maybe $20 over what I found online, but they were courteous and had it fixed fast. But, after paying, I went out to find my door broken with no mention of this from anyone at the desk! After being told I needed to have the whole door assembly replaced, and nothing like a sorry or being helpful, the mechanic walked away and left me with my door panel off. I had them put the panel back on and left. more

I actually broke down right next to this place. What a lucky unlucky situation! I was petrified of being taken to the cleaners. This has been my experience with other mechanics; however, the mechanics at University Hills Conoco are honest, efficient, and hard-working. I have been taking my car here for over 7 years. From everything to oil changes to a new engine ... they will treat you with honest respect. I will be taking all my vehicles here forever & recommend this place to ALL! more

Honest is hard to come by in mechanics, especially being a single woman. I took my car to the dealership and they were trying to charge me $1200.00 to replace something that was not even the problem. I took my car to University Hills Conoco (by a recommendation from a friend)and they were able to fix it for $250.00. And over a year later, what the dealership said was wrong is still functioning. What a relief. I would recommend these guys to anyone! Thanks. more
