While having my post-operative appointment, I was taken into an exam room directly across from the waiting area. I thought it was strange that the tech conducted the exam while the door was open and everyone in the waiting room could hear the whole conversation and see into the room. Drops were put into my eye to dilate the pupil and I was told to wait in the waiting room until the Doctor could see me. I then noticed that the same tech closed the door for each and every patient she saw the entire time I was waiting there. Also , other techs closed the doors as they saw patients in those rooms. I felt that the tech must have thought I was an old "Creeper" and must have felt afraid to be in the room with me with the door closed. HIPPA is supposed to apply to everyone. Why was I not afforded privacy? Felt very uncomfortable with the situation. Have had surgery on both eyes and have found UES to be top notch in every other aspect of my treatment. Too bad this tech ruined it for me. Maybe she should seek employment somewhere that doesn't make her afraid to treat her patients with respect and dignity. more

If you're just seeking eye glasses, there are many other choices. I've found you get what you pay for. I go for eye health and preserving my vision. The care is first rate. more

Dr. Herlihy is an ok eye doctor. I am not overly fond of the office he works in. It is way overpriced- the services and the glasses and contacts. I switched to a bigger office in the city. Received better service and much better prices. I saw this doctor for an eye exam and he wrote my prescription- I then got contacts needless to say they were not correct- I was not happy- He did rectify by doing another exam.. Still I switched eye doctors. more

The eye doctors and staff are very good here. Professional and polite. Service is great. I have never had to wait a long time and when I had an emergency I was able to get right in. However- the frames are a bit expensive. Limited selections also. I recommend to get your eye exam here then go to Rochester for the glasses. more
