University BP does not even sell gas, so do not let those other posters confuse you. I have known Tony Henderson since 1974 and have always been pleased with his expertise with autos. He knows all there is to know about all makes and has other mechanics, including family members who are almost as good! His prices are the most fair around and he goes the extra mile if you need a ride or sometimes even a loaner. He is honest and you do not see that with many mechanics these days! I have recommended him to all of my friends who are also always pleased with his work. Pros: Always know their stuff and Price Fairly more

I think that the last reviewer has the service station confused with the gas station which shares the same name and happen to be located in the same shopping center. Pros: Prices lower than local competitors. more

Tony Henderson, the owner of University BP, is an honest car mechanic. That in itself is a good reason to go there. I have have taking my cars to him for several years, and have recommended him to my friends. Everyone has been very pleased. His prices for labor are extremely competitive, and he doesn't waste any time. He will also tell you exactly what needs to be done, and what doesn't. Not long ago, i took my car in, certain that i would need new brakes, and even told him as much. He called me to let me know that I didn?t need new brakes, and that fixing the actual problem would cost nothing. When one of my cars was on his last legs, he spent at least two hours going over the problems to charge me nothing and tell me that it wasn?t worth it for him to fix it. He gets great prices on parts, and he and his staff are very friendly. The only con: the appearance of the place is not great, and there is not really anyplace to wait; but it is an auto shop, not a bed and breakfast. I will be going to him as long as I have a car. Pros: Honest, fair, friendly, inexpensive, and consistent. Family owned and operated. Cons: No real waiting area. more
